Kurt seeing the Ramones in Aberdeen...I remember beating on a bucket and a snare with a mic wrapped in a towel beneath it. Eventually I played on an actual drum set. And it wasn't even my band and I wasn't really a drummer and had my own band. That's what communities are all about.

This is my fav Nirvana era. The Nevermind era was a whirlwind for the band and In Utero era is mostly sad.

Not me! After nevermind came out and faded, incesticide came out and I immediately stole it cause I was a delinquent teenager. I then stole the bleach album. It was those 2 albums that made me really love them. Along with the Alice in chains dirt album I stole right around the same time. Years later I purchased the box set out of guilt

Melvin was actually the middle name of the guy in the meat market at the Montesano Thriftway Pete Melvin Lowman but he did go by Melvin.

Early Nirvana is very technical in playing style especially in Kurt Cobain guitar riff but after the success, their direction is about to change with the sound....

Nirvana was always a repetitive band but what i remember first hearing them was the guitar soind was different then anything of the times almost like a new guitars coming up with riffs but throws them away because they work to oddly lol was very different genius in its own right me at the time played in bands was a natural guitarist and played anything difficult i could learn from Pantera megadeth to classical Segovia so i never liked Nirvana at the time i did love chains and sound garden being into shred guitar dimebag was my hero and also pretty new at writing riffs and song i couldn't see the genius in the simplicity of Nirvana years later like everyone else i eventually got it being so young i didnt think someone with such little skill on guitar should this icon but i did a huge 180 on Nirvana years later his guitar playing really was different it almost seemed like riffs i would throw away believe it are not but i was young i think 14 when i first heard Nirvana but these days i just think the guy was a creative genius a tortured artist who appealed to the lost souls of my generation x

I wonder if my partner in crime Mike P is still around. The 2 of us were the biggest nirvana fans and got a bunch of our friends listening to the old stuff!!! Good times in that kitchen with the butter knives!!!
