They don't seem to realize how things evolve culturally or politically . This aspect is potentially very dangerous . p.s. Back then , I was always very pleased that anyone , including the media was paying attention to what was going on and at least had the motivation to understand it . I think it gave us the sense that we were onto something and not being marginalized while still being on the margin . Do kids today appreciate what prior generations supported before it was popular so that it would be preserved and that they could have it as a gift ? of course he rolled his eyes. She's another one of those conservative interviewers who were all conservative and hung up on hair and eyes and wardrobe and how "wild" we and the music were. To the viewer, it's funny and that gets ratings, but i tend to feel sorry for the bands. They wanna talk about the music, not have to keep defending or answering questions about your personal style. The Ramones weren't trying to be weird. They were just themselves, and needed to be interviewed by someone who could ask intelligent questions. The Beatles were the first to really deal with this, and they did it with a sense of humor, and they played it up. But after that, it just was annoying. She was clueless, but sweet. It was pretty telling seeing how each guy dealt with it. The audience sounded like a bunch of giddy high school kids. Pretty cute.

It prob helped them write songs, but it must have made their lives hellish. They were so good yet could hardly stand each other. Sad.
