He says "kælling" which translates to "bitch". In older times it used to mean an elderly lady, but meant in a very negative manner, which is probably why they went with this translation - it remains PC without becoming a mistranslation. No Danish person today would interpret it as anything but "bitch", though.

@@TobyJew Like “kärring” in Swedish then. Which I believe was used in a loving way back in the day. “Kär” means “in love”, so you would use it as a cute nickname for your wife or fiancée. Today it translates to “hag” or “bitch” though.

it's a bad translation (gerningsmand in danish can't be translated directly, the english word would be suspect.) gernings-mand directly translated would be "deed-man" which makes no sense. Fx "doing a good deed" in danish would be "gøre en god gerning" danish is fucked up language, i know :) you could compare it to when you say fx. postman/mailman/policeman/busboy etc. dosen't mean it can't be a woman :)

@@catholicdad I think it would be worse tbh. When I think of Sweden I think of a modern, economically and socially free society with great amounts of welfare. I think SD goes against much of that. I think it’s weird that they even call themselves “The Sweden Democrats” since their politics to me reminds me more of for example the USA’s politics. I’ve noticed a trend in Europe with more of these kind of parties getting more power and I just don’t want Sweden to fall into the same kind of situation as Poland and Hungary is in now.

The reason why Danes and Danish politicians were thinking differently than Swedes, but now seem to be on the same page, was the Danish Muhammed cartoon riots of 2006 all over the Muslim World, including a series of terror attacks later on. Now Sweden has become the most violent criminal capital of Europe and are forced to implement the same laws as we did in Denmark.
