What does the woman say in the scene with the dishwasher? Is that Swedish or is that 'a foreign delegation'?
@Rattenkriegs7 жыл бұрын
+ IT3210 She's supposed to be part of a foreign delegation. As the scene begins she talks to the prime minister in English and as he leaves to put the coffee cup in the dishwasher she says something in her native language to her colleagues. I don't know what language that is or what she says there though. As others have noted that man was our actual prime minister at the time. And I might add that even if I don't think anyone's ever interrupted a meeting like this I don't think it's at all impossible that someone said something along these lines to him - while he was serving as prime minister - if he didn't behave in a manner that's socially acceptable. Because not doing basic stuff like this isn't socially acceptable in Sweden. And being the prime minister doesn't absolve you of behaving in a socially acceptable manner.

That's how it works with the flat hierarchy system here, there are millions of meetings and no decision taking. For the person with the unstable nerve system (Italians, Spanish,Latin Americans) I wouldn't recommend living in Sweden at all-you will explode here and Swede will ask you : what's wrong with you? 😡😂 Same with over ambitious people who really can make a decision and want to make a career. There is no chance, they will tell you : just be like everyone else ("lagom"-good Swedish word for people who have no personality or goals). My Polish friend lost her temper after 5 years of struggle to fight the system and left to the Netherlands to make a career instead. She is doing great-totally different people! 🤗
@tobiasvall76043 жыл бұрын
@@daivabaniene3815 Lagom - ”Good swedish Word for people who have no personality or goals” , that seems like a highly flawed translation imo... Btw, Sweden is not the lame hell-hole you seem to believe it is... Sweden has always been a highly overachieving nation. For a very easy check of this, look at the periodic table. Even though there are only 10.000.000 citizens in Sweden, there are tons of elements discovered by Swedes. Ontop of that, the largest academic award in history, the Nobel prize, is Swedish. Sweden is full of high-achieving people, but unlike for example America, we have higher taxes, which makes it more difficult to become extremely rich, sure, but on the other hand if you were never going to be extremely rich either way, at least in Sweden if you get cancer you won’t face bankruptcy... I for one love our native land! 🇸🇪

The first part is so true!🤷🏽♀️ I’m not 100% ethnically Swedish but still born and raised in Sweden and still live here as a 14 year old teen, so many Swede’s claim to be Christian but they rarely know anything about Christianity, sometimes not even basic knowledge that even I know and have learned from school and outside of school even though I’m not even Christian like most of my friends are. And ig for a fact that the majority of Swede’s are not religious but they still claim to be Christian which I respect bc everyone has their own perspective of what Christianity is, BUT as a teen it makes me interested to learn more and it kinda makes me confused sometimes especially when some Swede’s criticise other religions without even really knowing their own. Literally all my Christian friends have told me they have never read or even owned a Bible, even prayed to God even once or regularly, or attended a church in their life, maybe when they were baptised without them even knowing who God is or without any real connection to God when they’re just toddler anyways😅..it’s better than nothing, and maybe when someone had a wedding or stuff like that but they VERLY rarely attend church for a religious reason or to talk to God which is basically what a Christian does to be Christian, or am I wrong idk? Because how can someone be a Christian just because they celebrate Christmas or any other “Christian religious” traditions which Christianity is supposed to be? 😅 I have tried to get my Christian friend’s perspective but it’s kinda hard when they don’t even know what Christianity is about in their opinion, I usually only hear that it’s about celebrating Christmas and birthdays and Halloween etc(that is based of satan and demons If I’m correct way back you can read about it in the Bible) and just enjoying life and then when you’re at a low point in life you might turn to God to ask for forgiveness or for help which is the better way IMO..but some people go to a priest and ask them for forgiveness as if they’re holy in the same way as God is… I mean what happened to “Only God can judge”?? And I try to not judge I’m just curious and open to learn new religions because it’s so interesting how different religions are yet so similar in some ways. And I’m that my religion is HEAVILY criticised because of assumptions and not being educated enough to have a opinion. Even I am educated on many religions even tho I’m just 14 ig I’m just interested in that and many other things because it’s important to me. Anyways I’m trying to say my opinion as nice as possible and may come in a disrespectful way and I’m sorry if so, but like Christian’s never really face criticism compared to other religions, and I don’t think they have experienced mass murder or any kind of mistreatment bc they were Christian, at least not that I have hear and if it has happened I don’t think in the same degree as other religions people. So many people are scared to say their religion or admit it to other even their own friends (including me) literally bc they face hate and discrimination. Just bc they are religious and have different views as you in some things and we want to be respected just like any other human. Anyways I have so many Christian friends, I love and respect them for who THEY are obviously I wouldn’t be friends with them if it wasn’t for that and not their religions ofc. But it’s just kinda ironic sometimes tbh how people say they are Christian but then they don’t know what Christianity is about in a religious point of view which Christianity literally is, they might know when Jesus died and lived but isn’t that bare minimum. But ig religion is only about having fun and just celebrating all year around without any strong connection to God so that you will have a next life and ofc to be thankful for life. As I said I have Christian friends, most of them are Protestants or whatever it’s called, but I have one friend who is Christian but catholic and she’s not a Swede (which is not surprising for me😅) and she was literally the first friend that I made who said they were Christian and actually knew about their religion, since I started being with her my view on religion changed a bit back to what it was from the beginning after hanging out with non-religious ppl and I still hang out with them ofc and we are still friends. But when I and my Catholic friend talked about our religions we had more in common than what Christian Catholic’s have than “normal Christian’s nowadays” which was so crazy for both of us 😂. Ig some people have a stronger connection to God than others and it’s ok bc it takes time but honestly (I’m saying this in the nicest way possible) I feel like some religions or individuals don’t really put any time or effort in God, I myself have so much going on in my life and sometimes I don’t have time but I try my best to prioritise my time with God when I’m free. The majority of the Christian’s I’ve met in Sweden nd in general that I’ve talked to might know who “God” is but not his name, or has never prayed or rarely prays to God etc (which makes a stronger connection to him) as I said and that’s why it’s important for me maybe not for others and I respect that but it’s kinda hard to understand when they can’t give me a argument or perspective outside or celebrating. So many Christian’s even do stuff that they aren’t allowed to (according to their OWN Bible and many other religions holy books / scripts but Im not shocked bc they haven’t read it properly and it could be bc it was translated and some people only read the New Testament / version) which is normal, everyone sins and it’s ONLY up to God to decide if he forgives or not but he usually does depending on what sin, and if you don’t really put any effort in changing to a less sinful person ig there’s not really a point then I think. For example many Christian’s have same sex marriage, sex before marriage, divorce, (if it’s not very needed) taking drugs, not use too much alcohol to not be addicted, using bad words, not take sides especially in a political way bc many wars start because of that and soooo much more I have a long list of what is usually considered as ok in todays society. But many muslims for example or other religions follow their principles as best as they can and they know their morals as what it right and wrong. And everyone can understand Bible in different ways but The Bible is still very obvious to the meanings and it’s just up to each and everyone to interpret the Bible. And it’s the same when a parents gives their children “rules” or I would better phrase it as principles bc God does it because he knows us the best bc he made us and he has so much more experience and knowledge to life than what we know and he knows what’s best for us, thrust me. God told his only son Jesus AND us to go out in the world and spread Gods words through the Bible and in general because that’s the only way he can save us from the evil world. ❤ “The easy way is leading to no life and the harder way is leading to a new life” which is almost how our current life is, if you work hard you can reach the goal and that is one quote that I’ve heard and I live for that quote and I hope everyone can make a connection to God in at least, as long as you know who he truly is and know his principles / advice bc he loves you, just like when you make a true friend! 🙏🏽

Very intriguing culture. In many ways, not nearly as many hang ups as we have in the states.
