Danny Goldsmith is widely acknowledged as being one of the top coin magicians in the world. He burst onto the scenes a few years ago and immediately made a huge impact on the magic community. Danny's coin magic look like REAL MAGIC. While most magicians perform the same way as everyone else Danny has created concepts and presentations that push the boundaries of close up magic.
Danny is one of the great thinkers of magic. He constantly strives to improve his coin magic and take it to the next level. In this interview Danny performs some amazing coin magic. However more than that he talks about how to elevate a performance so that it is more than 'just a coin trick'. He talks about sharing the moment of wonder with every audience member.

This was one of the most eye opening, career changing experiences I’ve had yet. Every time I watch you speak, I begin to look at magic a little different. You are a true genius, and I feel like you’re paving a new path for people like me. I’ve been performing with a different outlook since I saw your free lecture on Instagram. And now this just added to that. I’ve always been fascinated in trying to provide that child like sense of wonder to the spectator. Like giving them a gift they couldn’t find anywhere else. Because that’s how I look at magic. And it’s so wonderful to find someone who can help me find ways to express that to the audience. All I can say is thank you. You’ve got a new fan, and I hope to speak with you one day and discuss these thoughts further, and learn more from you. Sorry for the long reply. But you are just an amazing person. Hopefully I don’t sound like a psycho. 😂 Thanks Danny. And also thanks Craig for having him in the channel. 🙏

Honestly- this was the most inspiring ‘lecture’ on coin magic I have ever seen. Thank you Danny for your wonderful insight and to you too Craig. I’m a beginner to coin magic but have been a performer and vocal coach all my professional life. Craig, I notice that Danny sighs at how often magicians do the coin appearing, disappearing and reappearing--and with the standard gestures. You do something similar yourself, but as an attention-grabbing opener upon approaching a group. This isn't the time to try to tell them a story. So I guess that rules of thumb(tip) depend on context, however insightful they are. I had initially skipped this interview as I'm not a coin guy, but I've discovered that Danny's ideas deserve attention and he is a delight to watch --even if his technique will pass me by, as I'm a newbie hobbyist living in retirement.
