fun fact, the duct taped wrist escape actually works with zip ties too, if a singular zip tie is around your wrists in the same position. one of the very, VERY few actually legitimate hacks this channel has ever offered.

@Hat Lock Productions as far as I've seen, it takes more effort, but you can do the same trick with multiple ties. You can also bend one leg up and slam it against your knee

In case you were wondering why the matches weren't lighting when you strike them against a wall, it's because safety matches on light on the box (red/brown tips), but they used non safety ones (green/white)!

Honestly as someone who was kidnapped (yes it was a very traumatic experience) this made me laugh so hard, it’s just ridiculous. Btw I unfortunately wasn’t able to utilize any of these amazing life hacks when I was actually kidnapped, as I was 9 at the time and was scared out of my mind. But seriously this video was so fucking hilarious and it really improved my mood so thx Danny (and Nick)

For anyone confused about the naming of the tape used in the video. Scotch is a brand and duct is the name of tape that 3M manufacture. I think an interesting - stretching the definition of interesting - quirk here is that in different countries, PSA tape or pressure-sensitive tape tends to be referred to by a generic brand name; another example of this would be band-aids. In the UK, all PSA tape, including Scotch PSA tape, is typically called Sellotape due to the same quirk. However, and this part is interesting, the word Scotch was used as a pejorative term used to describe someone as ungenerous or stingy and the naming of the tape anecdotally came from a dissatisfied product tester demanding that their Scotch bosses use more adhesive. As a noun Scotch (of or from Scotland) is considered an offensive term, however there are still many examples of it being used, such as scotch whisky, and broth.

I think I’m ready to say, officially, that this is my favorite video Danny’s made. The way he delivers lines in the first half that aren’t technically jokes are funnier than most of the actual jokes. “Just get out of the car” at 8:15 is a line that has no right being that funny. Only Danny could make that line funny because it’s such an easy layup to the point that it’s not really even a joke. And I love Nick at 26:10. I desperately want to know specifically which jokes in his videos are pre-written and which ones are on the fly. I think he said it’s like 70% scripted and 30% ad lib. I need that 30%! Kinda surprised I haven’t seen any Gregs take a stab at making a compilation video of jokes they think are in that 30%. I think the comments section would be really fun.
