This is the story of one of the X-Men’s most beloved characters, Jean Grey, as she evolves into the iconic DARK PHOENIX. During a life-threatening rescue mission in space, Jean is hit by a cosmic force that transforms her into one of the most powerful mutants of all. Wrestling with this increasingly unstable power as well as her own personal demons, Jean spirals out of control, tearing the X-Men family apart and threatening to destroy the very fabric of our planet. The film is the most intense and emotional X-Men movie ever made. It is the culmination of 20 years of X-Men movies, as the family of mutants that we've come to know and love must face their most devastating enemy yet -- one of their own.

Sure it didn't tank monetarily, but there are reports of the studio possibly buying out theater seats as to make the movie look profitable. They couldn't afford to have the movie look bad before Endgame. This is corroborated by theater managers reporting very empty theaters.Plus, I'll wager to bet a lot of sales came from people thinking they had to see it in order to better understand Endgame. However, in terms of "tanking", you're right. I should have specified tanking critically in terms of the fans not liking it. It is, without a doubt, one of the least liked films by fans in the whole MCU.

Seriously writers?! Mystique: "I Cant remember the last time you were the one risking something?" How about: The time he took a bullet for the soldiers just following orders. How about the time he convinced you not to kill Trask and doomed the entire planet. Or how about the time when he fist fight the Apocalypse to protect himself and his friends. Did the writers even watch the previous films? or were they just so busy putting this stupid line in to this movie that they kinda forgot.
@basteagui
@basteagui 4 жыл бұрын
"Did the writers even watch the previous films? or were they just so busy putting this stupid line in to this movie that they kinda forgot." the second option. for 1000 miguel. i choose the latter. the writers were busy putting in their sjw opinions into the film because they are imbeciles. according to "critical theory" men can never do anything for women or are of any value or help to women because men are constantly opressing them. critical theory is another word for marksism. [going to spell it wrong just in case] in their forced and contrived world view, that is now making it's way into movies, men are the burgeoisie and women are the proletariat. and this is just the way it has been, and the only way for them to be free is i guess for us not to exist? or maybe we can cut our balls off at birth? they haven't still figured out the answer to it, but some sort of atrocity. by the same token these people think that queerpeople are the proletariat and that they are opressed by the majority. nevermind the fact that the analogy doesn't really fit because for them to be the proletariat, they would have to be the workers, producing the wealth that the cispeople benefit from. but logic has NEVER stopped "critical theory"... ever. because for the people who spout critical theory, there is no actual truth. or morals. it's all subjective. they don't even believe in rationality. so they might explain a concept of newspeak that they have, by using endless newspeaks to describe it. so you never get to what they really mean. they just expect you to shut up.
