Mitochondria...the powerhouse of this hell.

Today’s my birthday, so it’s been a great gift getting to read all these great comments. It means a lot to me that so many people are connecting with the music.

The mitochondria. Engine of all life. Engine of all that is, and all that will be. A dark bargain struck, aeons ago, when life was naught but a faint proposition. For they gave their life so they may live in death, but with strange aeons, even death may die.

Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the madness.

The Farmstead is all about a desperate battle to survive against a threat that can never be truly defeated, and I reckon this music captures that feeling perfectly

I don’t think enough people appreciate that this starts as a regular theme we hear like in the ruins or cove and then this savant of video game music hits us with 0:28 and we realize that we ain’t in the ruins anymore

The second part of the song paints a picture of falling into a vortex of madness only to witness a truly foreboding horror that spans all perceivable thought. I love it and I love playing this while I’m working in the lab. It gives me the feels of being a mad scientist

God I hope you make more lovecraftian-style music. I love the entire DD soundtrack.

I still stand by the opinion of Darkest Dungeon having one of the greatest soundtracks of all time.

I think this track is one of the best in the game. These alien sounds very well create the image of the Comet as an eldtritch nightmare that distorts space and time.

I love the crawling synth, the song itself feels overgrown somehow. Each of these tracks, the synth just shows that even the already present horrors of this estate are being warped by the comet.

Another masterpiece. This game has so many good songs. Town in Chaos is in my top 5 best videogame ost list, the others being "Confrontation at the mechanical tower" and "At war with Kaileena" from Warrior Within, the Morrowind theme , and "Aleroth Healers House" from Divinity Original Sin. It is really interesting that you composed 3 of the songs in my top 5 list.

I just recently played through this DLC and I cannot describe how your music was an absolute cornerstone to what I played, experienced, and lastly, enjoyed. Thank you so much.

This track is so good! Can't pick a favorite song in the Color of Madness DLC because they're all great!

You ever just hit that point where you've been exploring an abandoned farmstead which was struck by a meteor and now the radiation is causing crystals to form on your body, the dead farm hands, plowing horses, and foremen are back to life, as the scarecrows are too. Then you start hearing faint techo orchestra that proceedingly gets louder and louder, driving you to madness

I love how so much love and attention to detail went into this project. From the design, the art, the mechanics, the lore, the WRITING, THE MUSIC. I can't wait to see what the Redhook Boys have in store in the future! Mr. Chatwood, I play your music whenever I run Call of Cthulhu tabletop games, I play it FULL BLAST in my car when I go to and from work. I had a young couple look at me from a Prius at a red light ask me what I was listening to. I turned my head slowly with bug eyes, and drop my loudest, deepest baritone, ".......MADNESS!" You can't BUY moments like that! But you CAN support it!

This track is the most foreboding thing I've had the horror and enjoyment of listening to. It's to a point where I feel like I'm within that pixelated reality behind my screen. Feeling the aberrant crystals, pulsating and beating with unnatural gleam. Seeing both my past and future.

For real dude, fantastic song. I've been listening to it since an hour after you posted it. I love the percussion. You keep on just popping out amazing music, you're extremely talented AND skilled.

Such glorious colors.... ...so many lost, to that impossible light... ...to the estate...to the farmstead... ...it draws me back to the farmstead.

Ohhhhh my god I love this. Gonna keep on pushing through the DLC just to get to the point where I can hear this track! Perfect mix of everything which made the previous tracks mysterious and tense! With a tiiiiny "otherworldly" vibe to keep you unnerved. Stuart, you've done it again!

Every single tracks gave their unique part and I know I won't forget any of these. I won't write much but I wanted to let you know you have my deep respect (also that "Town in Chaos" was a true masterpiece, if I had to name only one !). I truly hope you'll never lose this love and passion we can feel in your tracks, and I can't wait to hear your music in other games in the future !

I'm experiencing one of those rare times where I like a video's comments section. I had a feeling people would be cracking mitochondria jokes, and I was not disappointed.

I f***ing love all of the music! I usualy listen to them for hours long. So tense, so much horror, so much madness and so much beautiness in every note. It is another dimension.

Really love your music! It captured me since I played Prince of Persia: sands of time in childhood! The funny thing is that now I am a musician too and hoping to find a job as a film/game composer. Your music has influenced my style a lot! I wish I could find more interviews with you (like "how did you started", your "workflow", maybe your studio and etc).

This ost sounds creepy and dangarous from the start and then so god damn powerfull and intense after. Really fits the mood of the color of madness arenas.

I find myself listening to this track again and again during several months. The tension is so high, it definitely rivals "Town in Chaos". Thank you very much for your music, it evokes strong emotion for me! Just a note: I don't know why but the moment at 1:37 reminds me of the Prince of Persia (2008) soundtrack (OST 47 'The Steps of Paradise' 2 02, kzfaq.info/get/bejne/f9GPeaSUztvbgXU.html ), so I thought that maybe you are the composer of this specific track as well.

The twisted alien crystals refract light, and it seems... reality itself! Panic spreads and fear rises, but is quelled with a reminder of your singular purpose: End The Madness. Destroy this Wretched Harvest.

Just as the mitochondria powers the human cell, so too do courage and fear mingle to power the human psyche.
