The Colour Out of Space was an extraterrestrial force or entity featured in H.P. Lovecraft's tale of the same name. It arrived on Earth via meteorite, and infected a large swath of Arkham, Massachusetts that would subsequently become known as the "Blasted Heath." The colour was said to have "poisoned" the soil around where it had landed. It appeared to have "infected" the local plant life and the results were great discolorations in the flowers, grass, and trees. In the later stages of the infection, the plants became grey and developed “a highly singular quality of brittleness”. Along with the discoloration came the ruining of fruit and vegetables grown along with the abnormal behavior of the plants during the night. The flowers would glow in the darkness and the trees seemed to reach out to the sky and move without the wind. Of all the Darkest Dungeon music you've done, I come back to this one the most. The frantic tempo, the unearthly synth, the mournful strings, the amount of WORK the percussion does to keep that energy. All of it comes together into one of my favorite pieces of all time. Man, I absolutely love that each track in DD has some sort of emerging heroic theme, that gets drowned by the overarching track. Like at 2:05 you can hear a new theme trying to grow, just to be destroyed by the alien "peupeupeupeu"

I am dming a curse of strahd campaign and i had the pleasure of running the "feast" for my PC"s , this was my background music and it fit perfectly . The tension , the panic , the chaos its all there . They were all on edge the entire time . Great song and i cant wait to find somewhere else i can use this at !

Gotta say i smirked when i got back to the warrens, it was oddly conforting to see those horrible pig men again.

When my party faced Wulf, they all fell during the boss battle, except my crusader, who had snapped and became abusive, acting out towards his now fallen comrades. Wulf was out of his attack range but very low health. Luckily, Wulf decided to take the hit for a random grunt that was within my crusader's attack range, and that finished him off. I guess he cared for his men more than he let on

Crimson Court is literally what will happen if you will merge Slaanesh, Khorne and Nurgle cults together

Stress build is secretly best build with a bit of bleed and Daze. Drain the enemy Heroes and cause infighting, wear down your opponent's patience and appetite for attrition.

Stuart your work is always sublime. I remember in the Prince of Persia days, how even the differences between Sands of Time and Warrior Within, based on the context of both games, sounded just right. SoT a bit more Persian, desert themes, as you explored nice Persian structures. Then in WW, rock themes for the action focus, and a bit darker... Absolute perfection! The same can be said with both DD OSTs. The music adds so much to the experience of these games, it's unreal. My favorite DD2 songs have to be the mountain battle and the sprawl. you are so gifted, Sir. everything about this game and its athmosphere is said in this soundtrack. I love how the instrumental mouvment is subtly replaced by something that looks like a voice at 2:20 , it feels like a female voice lamenting in loneliness and despair. Maybe the moniale in an abandoned cathedral, losing her faith, facing the abyss....? (sorry for my bad English and hats off from Baguette's land !)
