Greetings from Serbia! I actually live in a village in Serbia surrounded by a forest. Not much has happened to me personally, but i did experience some scary things (nothing too bad to mention), but I do have a friend who lives not far from me who used to tell me some scary stuff that happened to him and his parents when they were young (I don't remember the details because it was long time ago). He told me about a creature who hunted them in their courtyard and house and about a vampire that secretly lived in abandoned house in my village. It's quite scary and I am not the bravest person and i hope that stuff stays away from me, but I still like to listen to scary stories which brought me to this channel. Great work!

Story number four is a popular urban legend that has been circulating in some form or other for decades. It is even the inspiration for the title of Jan Harold Brunvand's urban legend book The Vanishing Hitchhiker from the 1980's.

I really enjoyed those stories. I hope you will find and do some more. My Grandparents came from Poland. I know that since the Cold War it's been called Eastern Europe. I found out especially Polish they say Central Europe. The story about Romania and Dracula's castle. That Bishop and priest's got close to the castle and did prayers. That sky's got dark and started to lighten. Over the castle.

I've heard of many versions of this, including Resurrection Mary. Some are slightly different , like some have th jacket part, some don't, & different cities or towns. (First one I've heard that was out of the country though) All went to the house and told by the mother of her death.

Greetings from Srbija i have some experience from my village I can tell you the best. When me my friends and my cousin we're coming back from a day in in the woods because my good friend đole had his birthday and because we have little place to celebrate so we went out grilling just to say I believe in all our folklore like baba roga back to story. So we are going back home we went deep in the forest we needed to pass over two small hills 100 meters high each one we had passed the first now we needed to pass through the deepest part. My great grandfather before he died always liked to scare me and I always liked to listen his stories about the woods when he was a partizan how he would go out alone on scouting missions to looks for nazi strong holds he always said he always heard walking and running and he once found 3 greman soldiers brutal killed he always told me baba roga I still remember but back to story. We were on our way home talking loud and laughing loud then me and đolje thought about scaring my cousin and my friends by throwing a rock on a tree but before I could throw the rock I heard a deep laugh but it was to deep only one that laughs that deep I my friend đolje but he didn't laugh yet so I got scared to my near death because I believe in baba roga I had no brave es in me but then I heard running and screaming deep screaming it was my cousin I didn't get scared until I saw what he saw a giant tree scratch like something like a big creature and more scratchs on trees and even more brutal scratch marks and then I realized that đolje Is not with us and I did the dumbest thing I could do I ran back in the deep forest and I know the very bad so if I get lost I am dead but I sprint as fast as I can I ran a good 100 meters before I realized đolje couldn't have ran this far as I can he is short and slow I am tall and the fastest in our friend group so I turn around to start running when I started running back so I don't lose them I actually ran the wrong way and I ran for 5 minutes non-stop so then I realized I took the wrong way I tried to find the right way I have leard to watch the stars and navigate with the stars then I heard a little branc break I turned around and said nice try pu... But I stopped and realized it wasn't my friends or my cousin I realized it was something much bigger even bigger than a human so I thought a animal ooh so I wish it was a animal I scanned the woods I didn't se anything so I turned the light on my phone when I checked again I saw something a human an old woman but very big and I saw her hidde behind the tree I ran even faster then I than I have ever ran but I heard the old woman scream like an Animal human hybrid I ran the way I thought back home or the city I ran so long that when I came to the second hil I heard something running and laughing I saw it baba roga or something I couldn't move or think until I remembered great grandfather stories I ran so fast back I actually found my friend's and my cousin in the city siting in a restaurant eating and drinking soda they saw me and said what happened I didn't talk I only orders my food by pointing in the menu what I want to drink and eat then I got home I drank rakija to calm down and fall asleep there was no sleep that night I couldn't sleep until the next day when I talked to my great grandfather he said you are a lucky man to survive those woods alone the could never go alone there after that one mission I actually have gone back there before and my great grandfather is very proud of me not being scared of those woods who said I was not scared.

Great stories.. the scariest thing in Eastern Europe that I ever encountered by far are the village women!! Those old women are vicious , thinking I couldn't understand them they'd nod at me , and then say horrible things about me and what they would do to me as I passed , it shocked me on many occasions! Evil old bloodthirsty biddies indeed. 😁

I am not trying to bust your chops or in anyway trying to insult you, but the 4th story is an urban legend in just about every state in the US and it is almost identical in each telling . The biggest divergence from our story is that in most that I know of is the fact that the gentleman did not go insane . But your telling of the story was 1 of the best that I have heard in a long time ,in that it gave a lot more details then most other stories .

Fun fact ,there is a forest called "Baciu forest" in Romania where not even the locals go in..it was even in the news..when I was little and my great grandma died ,for 6 days the door to her room opened and cloded on it's own ,my parents told me it was the wind..but they called the priest over anyway to scare "the wind" away...we also have a tradition in the most remote villages where if someone dies and the family says it comes back to haunt them ,the folks dig up the dead guy and stick a wooden stick in his heart and bury him again..and many other weird things ;)

Gotta say though, one of the scariest things was listening to you trying to pronounce "караконджул" XD Great content though as usual.

That story about the guy meeting the mother of the ghost is so alike to one from the series, Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark. Love those books. Love your channel too!

I just want to say, i absolutely love all the commercials that interrupt the stories. And always at the most appropriate moment. To kill the vibe n flow of the story.
