It's a good theory, I agree totally because Absalom does form his axe from his corrupted form. Also, thinking about it, when Death killed Absalom, he most likely bonded with another entity to make him Corruption. I say its quite possible.

Not really. Absalom used some cheap 100 percent kills on Apocalyptic. If you stagger him and stand in front of him, his body can strike and kill you.

@@robin9740 You fought Argul underlevled(probably). Arguls weapon requires you to be level 20 to wield it after killing him. I fought him on normal difficulty at level 15 and Argul one shot me as soon as I got hit.

I know this is two years too late, but Death did die. Not for a very long time, (DS2 is around the same time as DS1) but he did indeed die. When the seals are broken all Horsemen are called to the apocalypse no matter their condition, whether they're dying, dead, or trapped, they'll still be called forth.

But himself, nolonger has Nephilim soul once he became Horseman. The seal will summon no matter what, even when the 4 are asleep, doing fine or even like War, living a fine life

I suspect(hope?) that the very fínal game will re-enact a balance and a new Pact of Seven Seals. With Abbadon killed by War in the first game, Heaven has lost its leader. Corruption could thrive, since the Counsil was playing a game of its own(perhaps Corruption got to them?), but Death put a stop to that(and cleared War's name!) The Seven Deadly sins, unleashed bý the corrupted Counsil vanquished, including the Charred Counsil after that, by Fury there is now a void in the Balance? The game's story still has 1 final chapter left: The end of the great mastermind of this: Lucifer himself! The allpowerful Overlord of Hell(even Samael awnsers to him... he despises Lucifer, but Lucifer ís just more powerful then Samael). Through the eons in the previous games, Lucifer has grown strong, too strong even for the Four Horsemen to handle... Enter Samael, Enter Uriel? They realise that if Lucifer has his way, he will be an eternal and unstoppable tyrant! That must not be! So with the aid of the forces of Heaven ánd Hell, Luficer's reign is brought to an end, in an epic and spectacular way! Enter Strife? As his violent speciality already is 'striking from a distance', it would seem fitting to his character to be the one trying the hardest to obtain the greater: the whole picture? well i got stuck at one bit and couldn't be arsed doing the walkthrough and uninstalled it for like 2 years then i got darksiders 1 free and it was pretty easy so i done that then finished darksiders 2 it's perfect timing though at this rate by the time i finish darksiders 3 darksiders 4 will be coming out

I don’t think they ever will. This franchise is not too popular and the studios in charge of this game don’t have the necessary resources to reboot this game the way you want. Plus they also don’t want to risk that because chances are it will fail. Darksiders is also not considered triple A. Plus we already have a remastered version. But if they do make a remaster I think it would be cool to add in things they couldn’t add in but wanted too. I also think it would be cool to add new scythes like you said. I would also like for them to allow death to double jump and run. Maybe they can even add some stealth sections with cool takedowns. Or this is reaching but maybe they can make more cool set action pieces. Just my ideas though. But it will never happen, at least in my lifetime or if they ever sell the Darksiders IP. But who will want the Darksiders IP if it’s not that successful. It’s a understated game that was never given a fair chance that’s for sure and it’s a shame. Future games in the franchise will suffer because of it.

That is exactly what I was thinking. Absalom actually didn't even feel like a final boss. The Archon and Samael felt a lot more like final bosses.

Archon was much harder. Samael was somewhat harder. This was EASY.

jumpman20772 samael is on earth at the time of darksiders 2 (present not past when you fight him) because darksiders 2 is set during the event of either darksiders 2. This series is really interesting and the lore and story is amazing. I hope they will made this darksiders 3 and than a 4 and 5 as an ending. This series deserves more that what has got though the years so underrated

xXGrEyZXx Death can’t hold it for long because the 7th seal has not been broken which is why his reaper form is in limited use. The 7th seal is broken in darksiders 1 which ends after the 2nd game.

Fast travel to buy more health potions or keep using your abilities and try to dodge attacks oddly i had a little trouble with absalom but had no issues with samael which is suppose to be more difficult than absalom

iirc, the full events of Darksiders 2 happens both before (because he was trying to clear War's name, which to me meant he was chained up getting bitched out) and during Darksiders 1 (seen by the cutscene with the Archon).

apocalyptic as the description says, maybe something changed in the deathinitive edition but I haven't gone back to play the game since the original release.

Death is the most powerful horsemen, the eldest (thus the most experienced), the fastest, and the most skilled horsemen. War is physically the strongest but lags behind his brother in most other feats. War has never won in a fight against Death. While sometimes getting close, Death always comes out on top. Also Death is the reason why War has a prosthetic arm. Yes, it took the combined efforts of three horsemen to subdue war, Death did not break a sweat while his other siblings were struggling to take War down. Death was also not attempting to kill his brother and was holding back. Even after being stabbed through the chest with Chaos water, nothing happened to Death and he struggled the stab wound off like it was nothing while war cried on the floor from losing his arm. It’s also noteworthy to note that Death is the leader of the horsemen, with strife being second in command if something were to happen to Death. Death is also trained in most weapons there is to be. This is because his main schythes which are not present in the game can transform into any weapon he can think of. Finally, Deaths reaper form is the most dangerous out of all forms
