Chorus:
Easy, ready, willing, overtime
Where does it stop
Where do you dare me
To draw the line
You've got the body
Now you want my soul
Don't even think about it
Say no go
I, I 'll do anything
That you want me to do
And I'll do almost anything
That you want me to, ooh
But I can't go for that, no (no) no can do
No, I can't go for that, no (no) no can do
I can't go for that, no (no) no can do

This was the kind of music I listened to on the way to elementary school in the early 80's. I used to hate it. Fast forward 40-plus years now I find this music strangely comforting. Making a playlist as we speak.

Same for me in a way. I heard tunes like this as a kid and had access to the albums, and then much later on became nostalgic for them and loved them again. I was just telling some friends this morning that I love it when a saxophone breaks into a song because I grew up in the 80s.

But I don't want 80s songs now. We had them in the 80s! I want incredible 2020s bands now. Why did MUSIC have to end in the 80s? Why is everything now just 80s "tribute bands"? Why did the music die? Was it Reagan? Why?!

Tyler Ballz Why you mad, guy? The 80s in general were comical, from the neon jumpsuits to the hairstyles, etc. Massive amounts of cocaine mixed with waning artistic sensibilities makes for comedy gold, which is exemplified perfectly by the 80s, of which H&O were a staple of the culture. I didn’t say anything about their musical abilities, only that by today’s standards it’s pretty damn cheesy. “No can do...” Bahahaha That’s amazingly corny and lame, and that’s the reality whether your perception aligns with it or not. I ain’t mad; why you mad?
@REALDEALMMA91

Michael Hurwitz lol why am I mad? Bro let me explain this to you as thorough as possible I’m definitely not mad and I didn’t look at it in that perspective when you explain the color jumpsuits and all that shit I guess I can agree with you I was born in 1991 though so I don’t really know much about the 80s but one thing I know is hall and oates Hey still banging at barbecues all across America and cookouts

I just read that they are in dispute- BREAKS MY HEART! I pray they sort this out peacefully! I was just watching a Film on Netflix and this song was played in the Police Car. So HAD to come and listen again. I then typed g@@gle to see what they are doing now - only to read about a Law Suit etc. Saddens me greatly- I thought they were great friends. Sending much love and prayers from the UK. I was shocked to read that both men are now in their 70s, but then I am in my 60s now. Gosh TIME FLIES!! I hear this music and it catapults me back to the 1980s when I was at University and I attended clubs or parties and this and their music was played over and over and over again. Then travelled from Britain to Nigeria in the 1980 - to visit my late mum - same thing at parties! Phew! Their music truly blessed generations. These men are legends!! Happy memories ❤

Forty years ago, a classmate in my high school chemistry lab let me sample the sound from his new Sony Walkman. He handed me the headphones. When I put them on my head, this song was playing. It was almost a mystical experience, as I had never before heard the amazing sound of this song or the incredible fidelity of the Walkman.

The most "sampled" song in pop music history. No wonder! It was a #1 hit!

So much power and emphasis on his voice, I wouldn't attempt this at home, kids..lol. His input is second to none on his ability to put that kind of hard work into making the vocals work on this song. One of my favs.🎉
