Hey guys doing a little review of my dash components with some real life feedback and experience. I walk through my OSR button box which is probably my favorite piece of my sim rig. Moving into the APEX sim racing dash pods and finally my SimCore DDU. These are all the components I use to make my dashboard feel like my own personalize race care. Have a look and share feedback. Additionally, pls share any recommendations as I'm becoming quite eager to try some new stuff out!

Greg have a fiddle with you power settings on your pc. Just check this setting is disabled. Go to windows 10 control panel > power options > change plan settings > change advanced power settings > usb settings > usb selective suspend settings and ensure on battery and plugged in are set to disabled. May not be this causing your issue but worth a try

I think the issue you’re having with reassigning the button box stems from your use of the HUB.

Great stuff Greg. Sub’ed 🍻 Any chance that u could measure the ddu mount? Length/width/depth (thickest part)? (How i wish the ddu could be offered in black anodized). Greetings from Scandinavia 🥶

The problem you're having with the buttons being reassigned is due to using a USB hub. If you have free ports on your PC, use those. I had the same problem with 2 button boxes connected to the same USB hub. It's not due to selective USB suspend, I had that disabled.

Hey mate, just found your channel..awesome. I like your taste in sim racing hardware. Regarding your button box here... you'll actually find its a replica of the previous generation GT3-R!! (The actual GT3 class car) not the baby brother cup car.

I was wondering about the large rotary dial from Apex and why it looked so good on your dash. I have an Apex Slim Racer that I bought in January with two large rotary dials. They are the ugly 3D printed ones. I want what you have. I’ll have to reach out. I also have an issue with my Apex Slim Racer. Sometimes it just disappears from windows and either has to be reset via the USB hub or even worse sometimes I have to restart my PC. I never have these issues with my two DSD boxes or anything else. Only the Apex. It’s not all the time but enough to notice.

Sounds like the same issue I have with my box. USB is so freaking hard to diagnose. The new knob is so much better, I would definitely pick one up, it changed the feel of the knob for the better. I think he just got them finished this summer so I would assume there is stock.👍🏾

GTGreg I’m definitely gonna reach out to Jimmy. What pedal set are you using? You have an idea on how your gonna invert them? I ordered a 3P set of HPP JBVs almost two months ago. Patiently waiting. I’ve been thinking about inverting them.

@@OhItsThat I'm gonna try a simple box of 8040 over the pedal area and mount just the brake and clutch on top and keep the throttle on the bottom. Basically 3 pieces of extrude with some side flat mounts and a couple corner brackets. Should work if my measurements work out. I literally only wanna flip them upside down so I don't think I'll need any angling but only time will tell. Hopefully the extrude will be here next week and I can give it a shot. Mine are sprints by the way, hoping it's as easy as my brain said it would be. Jbvs are sexual 😂, rly want a set

GTGreg Hell yeah they’re sexy.I just hope they feel as good as they look. There’s no reviews on YT (in English) for them. So I’m just going off the strength off what people say about the older HPP pedals that they feel amazing. I almost ordered the Wave Italy Pedals in the inverted config but at the end of the day I wanted to buy American.

I'm running z1 dashboard. There are several options out there, this is just the one I chose to run.

"inverting the pedals" ohh yeah. I'm interested. Ever get around looking into doing a livery for the seat. I'm looking into that now to match my sim cars

I did but the guy that was supposed to wrap my seat (and my car) andes up flaking out so, on the back burner for a while. Thanks for the reminder 😁

was looking at asimcore dash until I saw it was 400$. fuck that. Ill buy a phone with a 6 inch screen and use that lol - no way in hell im paying as much as a csl elite for that shit

They make some decent mounts for iphone, you can probably even print one for free.99!
