Dan Reynolds is a genius. Try and change my mind! :D the sound-stiching blueprint he did a while back was SO good, i keep telling people about it and noone seems to understand how brilliant that is :(

I'm a musician/sound designer looking to get into sound design in your new audio engine :) What is the best to get into starting this for people who have NO experience using unreal? My knowledge of sound design doesn't go much further than vcv racks, pure data, fm synthesis and other sound generators with extensive matrixes. Any help?

Hi Kobie, if you search "PANow UE4" you can find an interesting (if a big old) presentation Aaron and I gave to Procedural Audio Now group about transitioning from PD/Max to Blueprints. In general, I recommend Blueprint tutorials--tutorials on anything tend to map well to audio as the meat and potatoes of scripting tend to be more generalized functions, math, building custom types, variables, etc. If you have any coding or scripting background, Blueprints will be a pretty comfortable environment. There's also a book called Game Audio Implementation which does a good job of overviewing the legacy aspects of Unreal Audio.

@@danreynolds966 I have no background in scripting or coding whatsoever... Only extensive modular patching (vcv rack etc). Will that be enough to get me started, or is this a whole different story..? Thanks alot for your reply!
