My biggest problem with all these apps is that it makes dating so unnatural and inorganic. Before online dating, and still for many, you get to know someone a little (through church, school, clubs, even meeting at a party). Then after you know them a little, you already have a sense of chemistry, common values, etc. and it naturally moves to dating. The apps where you message a bunch before ever meeting, then meet up once and make a decision based on one meeting, and then having to meet certain milestones by each date number is just super unhealthy and awkward.
