Dave isn't overrated. He is loved. There is a large difference. To be loved you must love. Never has he called himself the best. He will openly tell interviewees that he is blessed and lucky.

portaccio you can't break quality drums just by playing. The only thing that will break are the drum heads and those are very inexpensive to replace. Cymbals on the other hand are a different story.

I'm still super fucking butthurt that I'll never get to see Queens of the Stone Age with Dave Grohl on drums. That was, in my opinion, one of the best rock records ever recorded, especially for all of the drum tracks.

there is not a person on this planet that I owe a thank you more than this guy, I have since grade school played in one way or another drums but after hearing D. G. play and watching the amount of enjoyment he got from playing I took the art serious. now I won't be famous nor rich with dollar dollar bills but thanks to him I enjoy playing just for mine and for those listening .

Most consistent drummer I've ever seen. He and Stewart Copeland are the reason I picked up drums in 1994. Seeing Dave form Foo Fighters gave me the courage to learn guitar as well in 1995. More of a drummer and producer nowadays. People still get pissed when I'm playing drums in a band and correcting the guitarists' shoddy music theory tho lol
