A college friend was part of the film crew for this segment. He almost got fired for starting to second-line when Kermit Ruffins and Trombone Shorty started playing -- while he was supposed to be filming. He attributed it to his marching-band roots. He saved his job with that line. New Orleans is THAT POWERFUL!!

one of the great things about this show...i was watching with mom and sis who are big taylor swift fans, i'm a big dmb fan and enjoyed watch the band beat the piss out of swift's performances

im pretty sure Louisiana Bayou is a rarer tune at this point. It's not a regular tune like it used to be. Within a year it will be a once or twice a year song. They wouldn't play it at an event like this either because it has such a wide variety in the audience. You cant play a song like OSW or LBayou or even a song like Ants Marching. You gotta have a song that everyone can appreciate. i wish they played Bayou too tho :(

Bayou is somewhat of a dark song because it's about when dave saw the dead kids on the road. I mean I'm sure he doesn't mean any disrespect to Louisiana but it's probably better they didn't perform it.

ok ok ok, after listening to this, i am certainly ready for a rock dmb album. i mean rock. not soft rock, which is what they are now. i mean comeon lets be real with it. the singers got the voice for some grungy rock, so fuck it man why not. only thing is, it seemed like they rushed the song. maybe tempo was just a tad bit too fast.
