There is certainly no other person quite like Sir David Attenborough. One day when it's his time to go, the world will have had lost one of it's beloved sons.

This man is amazing. Sir David Attenborough is nothing short of a genius, and has a passion for his work that is beyond infectious. His work is immortal, and will surely survive generations, being remembered as including the first moment in television that inspired the world to understand the beauty, complexity and diversity of life on Earth.

@@notthatguy4703 Chimpanzees can be both friendly and aggressive. The famous brothers Frodo and Freud are prime examples. Freud was a calm leader, but brother Frodo was 'a big bully.'

An incredibly enviable experience, which gives me goosebumps every time. The BBC can be lambasted for much but unarguably this series is the absolute peak of factual entertainment, not only does his wealth of knowledge, quality and infinite dedication to learning in depth every subject he covers, know no peers, there isn't even anyone remotely close, It must be a burden being a nature presenter knowing that you will never achieve anywhere near that status,Attenborough is a national treasure equal to the crown jewels and a true titan!

At the time this was important footage. People thought Gorillas were savage and beastly probably due to film- TV. This footage showed otherwise.

Such a SERIOUSLY DANGEROUS spot to be in! (Potentially, of course!)🤔😬✌🏼😳👍🏼 Humans in a Gorilla's territory, AND amongst their young too! David Attenborough, the crew and guides were bloody lucky to have a peaceful encounter, really!

SIR David Attenborough is an inspiration, this man has basically taught us from what....1930 something? i dont care who you think the best natural docu person is in the entire world, no one comes close to this man, he has forgotten more than all of us know combined, in fact if there is something above knighthood he can be awarded then he should, 1st simple thing is he knows most animals biggest fear....is fear, your emotion and mood carry , not just through body language and scent

No, he was born around 1930, and his TV career didn't start until he was an adult. What a pity he didn't teach basic maths!

Hired at BBC in 1952, Zoo Quest began in 1954. Otherwise correct though. Keep in mind he also listened to the expert guides that were with him and behaved in the way they advised him, which put the gorillas at ease.

@@FunkopediaVery relevant comment, thank you 😊. Thinking about it, it’s obvious and it’s nice of you to also give credit to all the unsung participants making these nature documentaries. But also of course at the end of the day it’s David Attenborough’s (gosh the autocorrector gave me the surname after only typing the first four letters!), whose inimitable delivery and softly spoken genteel manner captures our hearts and holds us in awe😊

Prey?? They might attack when provoked, challenged for dominance, or whilst protecting a mum & babies, but they're not carnivores by nature, they're herbivores and will subsist on a diet of fruits and plants. They will not simply just "hunt" humans as prey.

but also electrical impulses in the brain, if you use your head you can almost FEEL fear or comfort in any creature, as long as you take care to not be stupid, like....approaching a snake fast from above.... in its world the only fast things are what it eats and what eats it, and "above" is a predatory position, just simple things like this will save your backside :)
