@@jamilgotcher5456 could also have to do with the fact that Tawny was a very dominant woman that was getting involved in the business of the band, like John Sykes. He tried to have legitimate input in where the band should go musically (rightfully so) and we all know how the story ends. Love David and his music but there’s only room for him and his ego in the room.

He was broke when he met Tawny and she didn’t even get paid to appear in those videos because she just wanted to help him out. It’s a lot easier to maintain a relationship when the guy is older, financially stable and not traveling all the time.

I think that Tawny and David would have lasted way longer if they had a kid, they were together almost 5 years. David married Cindy a year after she had their son. He basically has a housewife.

He knows that Tawny gave the band notoriety and resented her for it.

They weren’t bad apples, I mean look at all the band members he went through. Very telling of his nature plus wife #3 has no career and married him when he was rich and older.

They both throw shade at each other (while Tawny was alive). Typical bad break up. I think it was better for the music they did break up. Coverdale maintained the integrity of his music. I'm still searching for the David Coverdale/Whitesnake Restless Heart CD, LP or download! I think they should release another copy of it for us diehard fans.

@@THopkins7 Tawny only got mad last year when David described the divorce as horrible and difficult. She said that she got everything done through lawyers and that David was the one who stalled it twice to get a toaster and outdoor furniture she had in LA for his Lake Tahoe home.

@@poppycock6572 you’re not nice at all,Tawny suffered from undiagnosed depression, dyslexia and insomnia. She grew up in a very unstable home environment, left home at a very young age. Not a “tortured soul”. She at least had a career and continued to work even after she married Coverdale.

She continued to work after the Coverdale divorce. She left him. She liked to work & have her own career. If I have to take sides, I’d have Tawny’s back. She never had to get pregnant to have him marry her. Also Tawny was not the type to stand in the shadows & be controlled. Rest In Peace Tawny. She has several videos & interviews on KZfaq. Listen to her own words instead of believing the tabloids.

Tawny Kitaen is beautiful. Her body was off the charts. This wife is just cute.

I think it’s easier to have a relationship when you have no financial issues. When Tawny first dated him, he was $3M in debt to Geffen records, she had more money than him and even did those MTV videos for free to help him out because he was so broke. Then after the albums makes millions, he decides that he doesn’t want that rocker lifestyle and ends the band, marriage without a warning. He moved to Lake Tahoe to pay no taxes and met the present wife who’s a local.
