i keep repeating the number1 goal over and over again...i'd watched it live as well and it was significant a lot cause it was almost like the last chance of the game for chelsea and they could have won had he not stopped it...it was just brilliant save...woof...

Not only was Mata's freekick one of the best saves I've ever seen, it's the best because of the context; 91st min after United had made an incredible comeback from 3 goals down to 3-3. DDG earned that point at Stamford Bridge with his saves, it was incredible.

i've been watching this guy ever since he was at athletico madrid. Since i'm a United fan, i was so excited when i heard the news that ManUtd was chasing him for Van Der Sar's replacement. I knew this kid would be the best goalkeeper this game ever had. He has the potential and ability to become one. He will be Spain 1 when Casillas retired. No doubt about that.

I was rooting for him ever since won the 2009 Europa League title, and was thrilled when he signed for us. I have to be honest when i say I did doubt him a little about mid-season. I never hated him though haha. Im more than satisfied about how he ended the season :)

There isn't any goalkeeper at his age that comes even CLOSE to his standard. An absolute wonderkid of a keeper and it's easy to see that he will become the best in the world. Even in a single season in the prem he has improved on almost everything, and he was still a super talent in La Liga.

all he needs to work on is consistency, countering high air ball, and learn to command big defenders like Rio and Vidic to help him defend. if he manage to improve these, he will be world-class. by still, thanks for making this vid, most keeper are not recognized for their work, but you put a vid to honour them.

remember when he first started with utd didnt have much hope in him, boy did he show me wrong, NOW PROUD TO HAVE HIM AS OUR NUMBER 1

He pulls off some really acrobatic saves and he has incredible reflexes and agility. I do think he needs to bulk up a lot more so he's more of a physical presence in the box as he seems to get pushed around quite a lot. But you're right, Schmeichel could organise his back line like no other and that's something De Gea needs to work on. Obviously it'll improve as his English gets better but you have to remember he's still only 22 and he will get better.

De gea is a very exciting player to watch!
