People in the audience are crying while singing along with the lyrics, and looking on speechless while he plays the solos. This is truly what music was meant for. Such raw emotion cannot be faked, or replaced. Only felt.

Yeah, at my age I've listened to CN thousands of times..I was a 12,y/o girl when I bought The Wall 🧱 in 80', & 42 yrs later I still own my original vinyl..PF & David Gilmour especially are absolutely TIMELESS. I personally think David needs to be knighted due to his devotion to music & charity work. Masterpieces like CN; High Hopes; Marooned; SOYCD etc etc take you to another dimention.🪐

That's not right.. He's gotten much better as the years have gone by. Age seems to have mellowed and shaped him, and his music reflects that. There's a YT video of him playing this in 1985 -- it's an excellent performance, but now, more than 35 years later, when he plays it it seems almost like a religious experience.

This is not a guitar solo, this is not a song, it's something beyond this world and universe that is stronger than the nature and life itself! If I had to choose only one guitarist in the world to be like, it would be Gilmour! Thank you David for bringing us to tears with the most beautiful performance of ALL TIME!! Only David can get a Fender Stratocaster guitar, and any guitar to cry like that and express feelings... Just listen at 7:03... Totally beyond this world!

DG gives it 110% EVERY TIME. That was maybe the best nine minutes I've ever spent. And the crowd reaction during the final windup was priceless. Since he's played that, what, maybe 500 times, a normal mortal would have a hard time getting it up, but not David Gilmour. I do believe he must have a sense of history when he plays it and realizes this is something every one in that audience is probably going to remember for the rest of their lives.

Love the song and the guitar solos. David’s phrasing is probably unmatched by any other guitarist. There are many great guitarists, both past and present, so many different styles and influences out there. I guess if a song really resonates with you, speaks to you, you feel it in your soul and it can move you to tears (happy or sad), then the artist has truly created something great. I don’t subscribe to the theory that all music now is rubbish. There are lots of great guitarists and bands out there still! I just think I was spoiled as a kid, as I didn’t really have to search for great music, it was everywhere. But, If you can, get out to see some bands, famous or local ones, go to festivals etc. Money is tight for many folks at the minute, but Spotify and Amazon Music aren’t super expensive, plus there’s KZfaq and others too. There’s plenty of great songs and musicians out there, you just have to dig a little deeper below the surface to find them. Enjoy the journey😃

Happy because I was born at a time where I have been able to love, appreciate and feel this song for 51 years of my life, and I love it more every single time I hear it.
