Echoes is the best conversation between David and Rick....

This is the song that made me a lifelong Pink Floyd fan in the summer of 1972. My cousin said man, you gotta hear this, it'll change your world forever. He wasn't kidding.

As a young man of 21 I saw them play for the 4th. time in S.F. in the winter of '70 (or maybe it was '71) and this "Echoes" became my most favorite piece of music! I had been a fav fan of their music since '67 with "Interstellar Overdrive" fav from the 1st. album. But now at age 71 this is still my fav piece and band and guitarist in Dave!

It is said that David decided not to play echoes after the passing away of Wright. After listening to the musical conversation between them in the last minutes of this song, I knew why.
