Remember That Night is a live concert recording of legendary singer and guitarist David Gilmour. The DVD features live performances at the Royal Albert Hall on May 29, 30 and 31st, 2006 in London, England, showcasing material from his 2006 solo album "On an Island" and his Pink Floyd repertoire. It has been released on both DVD and Blu-ray formats. The DVD version came out 17 September 2007 in the UK, Europe and Australia, and on 18 September 2007 in the US and Canada. The Blu-ray version was released on 20 November 2007.

A Cambridge friend of Syd Barrett, David joined Syd, with Roger Waters, Richard Wright, and Nick Mason, in Pink Floyd in early 1968, only for Syd to leave the group five gigs later. Pink Floyd's subsequent huge worldwide success continued after Roger Waters' departure in 1985, with the albums A Momentary Lapse Of Reason and The Division Bell both charting at No. 1 in the UK and the US, and sell-out world tours. Rattle That Lock released in 2015 and David’s 4th solo album, went to No. 1 in 13 countries. In 2017, Live at Pompeii released as a live album and film which was recorded at the Amphitheatre of Pompeii.

This album is, I think, better than Rattle That Lock. It's warmer, jazzier. Feels like sitting next to a warm fire. A great achievement, for sure.

I have a tattoo of the album cover on my leg, it's definitely my favorite. Smile is one of my absolute favorites. Him playing that in its entirety made Live in Gdansk one of my favorite live albums as well.

I was just a teen when this album came out. I already was a Floyd head for some years. I loved this album at first listen. I remember how years later, probably in 2012, i was at a studio, and they had new monitors in, and asked me to put a Nice sounding track trough those speakers. So i went with "On a island". The guys were blown away by it. What i was blown away by, was that they Didnt knew about this album. My favourite Gilmour solo album. Just classe all around. I still jam to "the blue" now and then.

Few months ago I get a new vinyl player - Japanese Sony from that old days, I tune it, and sure I start listen to my vinyl collection. Everything has sound amazing till the moment I put on later Gilmour. And everything sounded really weak compare to this sound. God, incredibly good recorded albums - this one and Rattle that lock

Other than Dark Side of the Moon, Meddle is my favorite Floyd album. Likely because I was a teen age at the time and I saw them on stage when it came out. Those were great times for music.

This album is on par with the best of the Pink Floyd albums. Deeply inspirational and most enjoyable. Hard to come by. I have a copy which I don't think I've played.... or possibly once as I had the five disc cd edition which I've since sold and ended up with the 4 disc edition instead! I'm sure it'll be re issued one day. On an Island is a great listen. A lazy Sunday morning type of record!

Nah. He definitely is a family man. I am sure he has his issues. But let's not kid ourselves. He's not "ordinary people as any one of us". When you have that much money, there is nothing ordinary about you, and you're not like everyone else. And I assure you: he is a stranger to most of our problems. He doesn't have to worry about a job. He doesn't have to worry about food. Doesn't have to worry about the massive hike in energy prices. I am sure he can still afford to fill the tank on his car just fine. He's not worried about freezing this winter. It's not a bad thing, though. He's earnt that money by being one of the best guitar players on the planet. He's made all of our lives better. I believe he fully deserves his wealth, not least of all because he has donated quite a substantial portion of it to charity. As far as rich people go, he actually deserves it.

The more important is the person behind the money. is a person with more money more human than you are or I am ?? no he/she is just as human as you or me. he/she gotta shit once in a while, gona eat need to pee... so he /she is just as human as I am. he/she is no more valuable because of he/she has got more or less money. Thing is; what he can do, you can also do or I can do.... maybe different but we can. to me all people are equal, no exceptions. because in th grand total there are no exceptions. IN the end we are all judged by what we did but also what we didnot. And from that divine perspective we are ALL being treated equally and a poor guy with less money, could be far more impressive than this dude David Gilmour. although I like Davids things as well dont worry. Jesus once said: look at the lady that gave an offering of 2 pennies to the temple.... that is more valuable than what ever the rest gave..... why ? well you see the poor lady gave EVERYTHING she had as a offering, but the rest of the people gave a little bit ..... of their riches..... So giving everything of the little that you have is more valuable to God than giving a little of ones riches...and that is why I am not impressed by money or the people behind the larges amounts of money. People like you are easily impressed by riches, I am not.... I am impressed by what people do especially what they do to help others even if they themselves are poor. THAT has more value than what ever money the richest man on earth has.

Why is it I don't hear much talk about the solo on The Blue? I think it is one of the best I've ever heard. It's amazing the way it moves from highs to lows. Just amazing. And this man, his voice is the same as it was when he was young.
