Every performance in the live in gdansk is absolutely perfect. I recommend "echoes live in gdansk", Gilmour and Rick's last performance together, one of their best performances ever (in my opinion).

Honestly, the performances on Remember That Night (Live from the Royal Albert Hall) from the same tour are much better, including Echoes.

If memory serves me, this was written as a birthday gift for his wife, Polly, as it was 'all she wanted' for her birthday! One of my favorites from his solo work....love it! Another great reaction, thanks!!

My absolute favorite song on this Gilmore album!!!!! It reminds me when my wife and I took a trip to a place called Timber Cove in California on the coast about 100 miles north of San Francisco!!! Beautiful walks on the beach and through the Redwoods!!!!!! Had this song playing in an old CD player!!

As others said, this song was written by David as a Birthday present to his wife Polly... It was "all she wanted for her Birthday". And you're so right, this is a song about mature love, the love in the later life, when you've learned patience and slowness, and everything flows slowly and intensely, a flow made of small, day-to-day things that, together, make a calm, slow, yet huge and strong, sweet flow. There are so many "images" in this song that are so relatable, for me. It's actually the description of the "perfect day" in my idea and perception of love and couple life. And that last line... "So much behind us / still far to go... Still far to go". ❤ This song touches me so deeply. It resonates with the deepest of my heart, and always, ALWAYS brings tears of emotion to my eyes. It made wish I could meet David in person just for a minute... And look into the depths of the eyes of a man who's been able to write such beautiful song as a Birthday present to his wife. He must be a wonderful person. ❤ I loved you reaction... You expressions and comments told the whole story, and you seem to actually relate to these things as well. Sometimes I think I'm some kind of freak when I speak about this particular way of living life, connected, as you observed, with the very basic things, the many little beauties and pleasures that, together, make for the quiet happiness and joy of life. To ssh others understand and share this is a joy for my heart. 🙂 Thank you. See you next time.

many people requesting "Gdansk" " Echoes: which is 24 minutes long, which is more than your 15 limits. Would you do the first 12 minutes ( which is a transitions of time in the meaning of the song) then the last 12 minutes.. First is mans anti-empathy to humanity then the second half is man finds empathy for all humanity. ( We stop harming each other) "Roger Waters" said once. Sad to watch video with Dave and Rick for the last time. As Dave said he feels that him and Rick talking to each other using their instruments.
