Morrison was similar to Tyson in many ways. But the biggest difference, IMO, was footwork. Tyson was always grounded and sat on his punches. Morrison had a tendency to sell out his punches more, often 'jumping' to throw. Not only did this leave him vulnerable, but it also made the next punch less effective, and it also became a fatigue factor.

He did pretty damn good for himself. Only lost three fights, had a high knockout rate in a crazy stacked 90s era heavyweight division.

Good points and I agree on all of them. Lewis’ only real shortcoming was he had a little bit of a weak chin. He was hard to hit, but if you could get a clean power shot on him, he didn’t always take it that well. Otherwise, he had no flaws.

Well, my 'dark favorite' of that era was Ray Mercer, but then he got caught taking a dive so he lost credibility, and he was never as consistently dominant like Lewis.

But the diving issue is a blot on his record, not the first fighter to do and certainly not the last but big minus against him as a fighter.
