As much as I hate to say it...but I bought a Chevy...and I LOVE IT! I've always raced against these LS cars and have been impressed how much hp they can put down with so little modifications. This 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is no different and with only 5,000 miles she's bone stock and ready to be modified!
I'm blessed to say I have a German, Japanese and a Domestic sports car with over 600+hp ready to race any day! I can't wait to bring you guys more and more content of these cars being modified and raced either on the street or at the track!

I like the look of the 5th gen more than the 6th gen also! I have a 2013 ss with the 6 speed manual and I love it! You should have bought the manual, but it is still a sweet car!

Congrats man! I've owned mine for 7 years, they're great but not perfect! They're notorious for heat soaking so put on a quality heat exchanger(intercooler) and it'll be sorted. Also i recommend these parts if you want to get to 650-700 whp (more with e85) with just Bolt-ons, Headers RPM 5" intake 102 Throttle body whatever Pulley combo you want to get you to 15-16 psi boost Injectors, AUX fuel pump ported blower and snout Do these and get a quality tune and it should put a big smile on your face! Also this car is equipped with an LSA, Touring mode sets the magnetic shocks as well as the steering to be soft, and sport to be a bit harsher and stiffens up the steering wheel, if you double click the traction you'll get into Chevy's PTM modes, if you want all the power just hold the traction control button till you get both the traction lights to come on!

@@LextasyNation Exciting times!! And yeah the factory heat exchanger is like an inch thick, therefore it heats up pretty quick as it has a tiny volume of water in the supercharger cooling system. One more thing is to check if your supercharger isolator has been replaced, as it has a recall, as the factory one grinds against the shaft it's mounted on and makes all kinds of noises, if you're changing your upper pulley then you should have access to that isolator and get it replaced for a few bucks or just do it for free with a recall as they might even change your entire supercharger for free!

The recall wasn't because the key broke off the FOB. It was because people were bumping their knee on it causing the car to shutoff, which I have done twice now on my 2013 ZL1( identical to yours). The fix was to pull the metal key part out of the FOB and put it in a conventional key pad eliminating the problem :-)

I am in the process of purchasing a ZL1 with considerably less mileage if you can believe that. I have no idea how someone could buy something with this much power and just leave it in the garage and wipe it down with a diaper. I will be daily driving me so I am thinking I better budget for tires and gas. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Alexander Tapia no it isn’t. A LSA has piston oil squirters. Different heads, lower compression, and a different crank.

So ? If you have an ls1 and you modify it to bigger heads, pistons and a cam, the motor is still going to be an ls1. Lsa is an ls3 but a lot more modified.

@@alexandertapia8656 No, it actually shares more characteristics with the LS9. It's a detuned LS9 with a smaller blower. There's similarities between all of the LS platform engines, but if you're going to compare it to any, it shares the most with the LS9 which was put into the C6 ZR1 corvette.

You could probably get to 800 wheel on the stock blower without nitrous although it will be difficult but after that you’ll definitely need another blower, either way great video will definitely sub to see what you do with that beast!

The reason why I like the dash layout is its about design....not ergonomic...its a new interpretation of the 69 camaro dash...compare the two and you will see the resemblance. For me it was a big draw when I bought my 2013 1LE. Inside and out it is a modern 69....love it👍

One problem about your GT-R is it's not E85 and you're racing cars that have 100 or 150 more HP. and you could have done a upgraded turbo's to out you around 700 and keep the torque around 600. It's all about the tune. But could do a stage 1 transmission upgrade to be safe

All of them have been tracked the GTR doesn’t get affected by heat soak as much as you would think. The RS7 has a fan that stays on for 10-15minutes after the car is off to cool it off so that helps. The Camaro does heat soak tho

Stainless works Muffler delete cat back, Roto Fab cold air intake, Lingenfelter 2.55 inch diameter 10 bolt supercharger drive pulley (adds 2 psi) , Eibach 1" lowering springs, Gen 6 SS1LE Wheels replicas made by MMR wheels( best appearance mod ), tinted the windows 30% and all the chrome pieces(decals and even the chrome tail light bezels you talked about) are black chromed, looks amazing compared to stock. And last but not least I bought some Carbon vinyl and covered the ugly ass gold bowties ( even the little one on the steering wheel)and every ZL1 logo that is red is carbon fiber vinyl now, good contrast to the Victory red paint :-)

The reason why you kept losing that day is because you were running against much higher horsepower cars. A GT-R is much more capable car. You also mentioned you were not running E85 that day, so you were probably below 600 whp, right? You should upgrade your turbos and probably bring your car in the 700+ whp game not 700 hp. I don't think you are that much aware of this car's potential. You own three badass cars and I don't think money is a problem. Or your could upgrade your car to a 2017+ Nismo and make it FBO E85.

You’re absolutely right but keep in mind I’ve dropped about $8k into my GTR and I’m loosing that many races. All I need is about $6k on the ZL1 and I’m at 650whp which is all it takes to kill my GTR. Once I do FBO on it I’ll put all 3 cars on E. They’re all different in their own fast way and I can’t wait to experience the difference between all 3

@@LextasyNation I watch your videos because of the person you are, having fun all the time. I get it, but still your GT-R is closer to 600 whp range without E. You should probably run with E85 next time. A GT-R with similar horsepower as muscle car is more than enough to take them down. Try it, line up against cars of the similar power! Thumbs up for amazing content!
