Me too! Then we had to sing it in my high school choir and it was a magical experience in that concert. It felt so amazing singing this song with so many other people in a auditorium filled with family and friends. A wonderful feeling.

Ugh it’s so tough this song has the best music and lyrics, but the lines in “Words Fail” are also incredibly well done. I would recommend listening to that for the message in the lyrics because it’s very good.

There is an incredible mashup of this song and Tonight from Hamilton sung by the respective OG castmembers (and writer for Hamilton) of the musicals, Ben Platt and Lin Manuel Miranda. It is absolutely stunning and I cry almost every time I listen to it.

One of my favorite parts of this song was at the end when they say “you are not alone” and it slowly starts to sound like they’re saying “you were not alone” it changes the narrative a little bit and I love it

Man i sang this at a choir concert in like... 6th grade? maybe 7th? and it hit so different for so many reasons. hearing everyone beside me singing a song of lonely despair was truthfully poetic in a way.

The little melody piece at 8:23 is my favorite part of the whole song. Its only in the melody there, in that one moment, but it is actually the recurring "For Forever" melody that says "All we see is sky for forever." If you listen to an instrumental version of this song you can hear this section is longer than it appears, it just breaks out for this moment. Dear Evan Hansen is truly something special. I love this musical sooo much! If you want to listen to a more up-beat song but from the same musical you should listen to "Good for you" and "Sincerly, Me". Those are one of my favourites and they could get you more into the story of Dear Evan Hansen 💙 I follow your content from Argentina🇦🇷

Great song! I will just write my recomendation here: Listen to "Biggering" from The Lorax movie. It is an AWESOME song which unfortunately was cut from the movie. If you wish for a bigger impact listen to It while watching the fananimation Biggering Storyboard (Old Practice)!🥳🥰

I have recently come across a song that immediately stuck with me and I felt I should at least share it with you, "Gods Whisper" by Raury struck me hard when I first listened to it and in my opinion it's just overall amazing in every way. Weather you listen to it or not just keep doing what you're doing, big fan, love your channel, stay safe and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

A song I definitely recommend is “Ease My Mind” by Ben Platt. He’s the person who played Evan in the musical, and his voice is just a beautiful thing to listen to

I suggest listening to songs from Come From Away. Specifically “28 Hours/Wherever We Are”, “I Am Here”, and “Me and the Sky.” It’s a relatively new musical about 9/11. I’ve listened too it at least 10 times by now and have cried every time

This is exactly the song I needed to hear today. Every time I listen to it, I just start crying and I can't really control it. You were glassy-eyed too, which only goes to show the genius of how this piece is conducted and written. Honestly, every single song in 'Dear Evan Hansen' is like that. Musical freaks roaming the Earth wrote that, like you said so beautifully!

If you’re interested there’s a bunch of songs from DEH that were cut. There’s “A Part of Me” (the first version of YWBF iirc), “Obviously” (the prototype for IICTH) both of which are pretty good.

You Will Be Found is one of my all-time favorite songs. When I first heard it, I cried so hard because of the things that were relevant in my life at the time. I like to go back to that song whenever I need a "pick-me-up," and it truly does wash away the negativity for the time being. (Same with the song, This is Me from The Greatest Showman. Maybe you could react to that too, if you haven't already!) Come to think of it, both songs were written by the same musicians

I think this song hits so hard because everyone has had a moment they felt alone and had negative emotions flowing and all they wanted was someone to be there for them and this song basically says I see you I know this feeling and it’ll be okay.

I absolutely love your reactions. I discovered your channel during covid and fell in love with your expressiveness and your energy when it comes to music. It's good to see someone out there that's still willing to open themselves up to different genres of music. No matter what the haters say keep going and keep being you! On a side note, Day 3 of asking you to react to Kyoumen no Nami from houseki no kuni. I'd love to see what you think of one of my favorite animr openings of all time. Both English and Japanese dub are great.

While I personally get more out of other Dear Evan Hanson songs, this one always brings me to tears. I really think it is the music just as much, if not more than the lyrics. Something about it just touches my soul in a way the others cant, even though a lot of the other songs hold more weight and meaning to me. idk. Magic of music I guess. I really hope you do the rest of the DEH songs. There are some really raw ones in there and "Words Fail" does this beautiful reprise/combination of some of the earlier songs giving the lyrics new meaning in a way that hits so hard. I may have left highschool and the world that fostered these feelings long ago, but hearing the music from DEH, even in my late 20's, was so cathartic and validating. I think this will end up being one of those stories that stands the test of time. I certainly hope more people find it.

He was giving a speech on someone he lied about knowing who had committed suicide. The issue with how great this song is the basis behind him even giving this speech is a lie that he knew the person who committed suicide not only did he claim to know him he was best friends. Now he didn’t claim he knew the person for attention but he got lost in a lie of good intention but even still this musical breaks my heart.

I remember the first time I listened to this song it broke my heart and felt it too deep, really really loved this song. One that I still enjoy a lot when I listen to the musical is "Good for You", and it really makes me feel like the first time ever I listened to the musical. I really recommend to listen to it in the audio of the theater xd I know so much words get lost, but the feeling and the environment in which it was recorded, it really triggers me

Please please please listen to Found Tonight. It is an official mashup of You Will Be Found and The Story Of Tonight from Hamilton. It is so strong. My friend and I performed it for our pop concert. The messaging of there will be more people to hold each other up has such impact in the current climate of the world, and it is gorgeous.

So he's actually speaking up against suicide... one of his classmates had committed suicide, and i think he himself may have thought about it a time before, and he was giving a speech to help prevent another, so really, he was speaking out to the ones who feel so alone they think no one would care if they were "gone" (... in all honesty, I've never actually seen the show, only heard the songs, nor am I going to see the show because a couple songs hit a little too close to home, theater kids, correct me if I'm wrong, but I LOVE this one, Waving Through A Window, If I Could Tell Her, and Sincerely Me... although a note... my last church actually did a sermon on abuse and suicide and they actually DID play this song afterwards... I swear, it makes me cry every time)
