I'm obsessed with Captain Jones' lore, a most tragic yet captivating background. My heart always stops for a second when I remember how alone Captain Jones is and how he just wants to be with the woman he loved. I especially loved how throughout the movies he lashes out in anger at everyone, after being abandonded by Calipso he was truly hurt, so hurt he took it out on everone around him.

I have to say the only thing that surprised me about this cover is that you both sang the entire song. I imagined it would be more of a back and forth between Davy Jones (Alex) and Calypso (Fialeja). Davey Jones and his love, a beautiful duet that causes feelings of internal meloncholly, the range of emotions felt when losing someone you love so much, greif, anger, recollection, then back to greif. The first is when they leave. The second is you dealing with the aftermath, blaming everyone and everything around you, the third is you reminiscing about them, how great they were, sugar coating some of their actions, making them seem better than they really were, and the fourth is you realizing that no matter what you do, their gone. I don't know whether or not that was intentional, but I don't give a damn. Still perfect.

Davy Jones was always such an intriguing character. Embittered by love, yet still clinging to the fragment. Is he cursed because he still clings to the hope of a someday, or he just can’t let go of the rage despite the pain it causes him? And at the same time, he is so willing to pull lovers apart for the sake of his “job” (see Will and Elizabeth).

I can relate to Davy Jones. Last 7 years, I met "her" and we became close until the coming weeks it became awkward. And then last 5 years, she left me behind when I need her the most. I'm suffering from complete insanity because of too much workload I put on school and I'm suffering the mental condition of insomnia. Even she couldn't help me, she wants to avoid any responsibility because she is afraid... I'm both betrayed and saddened because of this revelation because she does not understand me. It felt like I was Calypso because she does not know my "nature". I'm just as unpredictable as the Gales of the Storm and as clever as the Thief of the Shadows. But aside from that, the memories I have of "her" became my guiding light in my current situation until the time I recovered. This tragic event caused me to not see her again and I locked my heart away from anyone who dares try to approach me and I give no sympathy to others unless they open up to me. This year, I'll return for sure. I'll give her my heart, if she has heart to give. Hahahahaha!

So... Here we are again. On Valentine's Day, most of us are Loney. Me? Well I'm listening to sad music while reminiscing on the death of my family members over the course of my life. I've had a great day. But it just hit me all of a sudden, remembering every death. At first...my aunt. Then my great grandfather's brother. My great grandmother's Then my great grandfather. And most recently my grandfather. I've lost so much in my life, I've said goodbye to friends, buried the ones closest to me. And I'm only fifteen... Anyway thanks for reading my sad flashback.

When ever I get emotionally depressed, I always play Davy Jones theme song on repeat on high volume as when I have mixed emotions of anger and sadness I always wanted to rip my heart out and put it in the chest and rule the seven seas for all of internity but in a Viking long boat.
