My man! Vampire Hunter D is a classic! I love vampires, so I hope you're right about this. A proper vampire RPG in any setting would be so great (and I'm not expecting much from the new Bloodlines, I agree).

Lol, I clicked on this vid 'cause I thought to myself "Oh good I might have a replacement game for Bloodlines 2 that bought 4 yrs ago & now just got a refund for" I do so hope it's what I'm looking for but I'm not gonna get my hopes up atm because I'm still feeling the sting of what I 1st was so excited about only to see horrid dev diaries & gameplay trailers that made me Nope out of one of what was suppose to be a revisit of a very fond memory. Could be a vampire-killer like Simon Belmont but using a sword. And he loves the vampires because he makes money hunting them for other vampire clans who pay him as an assassin or bounty hunter (not to protect humans but to make a living like John Wick). Your character is an antihero out to survive a F-ed up world where humans are just as evil as the vamps and jealous of their powers as rivals. (like a post-apoc game most goodie-two-shoes humans are dead or just rare in the dark world so you got to constantly watch your back for betrayal - God permits the evil as punishment on a wicked society) The story could involve enslaving monsters through contracts you make and using them like pokemon so knowing each monster's limitations and weaknesses is required to progress. Yes you hunt but you can receive payment through services instead of money. Eg you may resurect undead to work for you by rescuing them from stronger vamps. Eventually they level up to get strong enough to kill bosses while you issue commands like summon spells in final fantasy games. Other races like demons are out to hire you in exchange for favours. (yeah like Elric of Melnibone which Witcher ripped from). Everyone has a hatred or grudge for another race meaning you get rich from all the fighting to eventually become too much a threat so all monsters want to kill you. The GTA "wanted level" increases the more powerful people you defeat ensuring there is always monsters more strong than you to go after to remove the bounty on your head.

im sure its going to be about Vampires-type Dark you know, maybe you think its stupid But first time i heard they making a game Even before naming it i had a kind of feeling(the kind of feeling you know ot will happen but you can't explain)that this game is going to be about Vampires or something like that, and when they announced it, I was like yeah it's 50% on. now i was searching about Cyric that bring me to your channel and i don't know why again i was thinking about Dawnwalker and boom It WAS in your channel..there aren't many channels with Dawnwalker content bro.. anyway Rebel Wolves are the REAL CDPR by the way Witcher 3 quest writer and designer joined them even some of Witcher 3 contracts are better than some decent games main quests lol.

Lets see how they gonna change it from Witcher 3. I remember some nitpicks about witcher, it kinda had that modern game vibe to it. With all side stuff like destroy a nest or get a chest with some stuff inside. Which you can ignore, just some busywork. Wasn't that enjoyable. The quest writing was great and gameplay, once you got it, was kinda easy. Alone because of the experience, those devs have, the game will probably be great or at least very solid.

Can't say I'm not interested - I'm a sucker for dark, nuanced fantasy. If it's anything like Witcher series, at least within the story department it might be quite something; let's see how much really has Larian raised the bar for success regarding RPG. Pronunciation was pretty good ;')

since Bg3 Early Access i've been saying that Larian would do WoD games justice for sure. Some people don't like how dialogue heavy Bg3 was or how cinematic it was but V:TM and other WoD titles would be soooo perfect for that type of game. The new bloodlines doesn't look great to me... its all about the first person combat

People said the same thing about CDPR handling Cyberpunk; and a LOT of what this guy says he wants to create was the same stuff they said WOULD be in the original concept for Cyberpunk. Since it's VERY likely - considering that VTMB 2 got handed to a company that has NO EXPERIENCE with RPG's - that VTMB 2 is going to be a massive let down for a two decade wait... I'd say this would be a spark of hope and NOT more. Not until it's out and we can all see they DID deliver what was promised. Nevermind an "rpg" that they legally had to change the genre of, to Action Adventure. : / Also Dawn-Walker: They don't wanna get sued by Marvel... Vampires walking around in the sunlight IS NOT that cool, or innovative. A Dhampyr in general has that ability and MAY have similar powers to a vampire depending on what the author wants as far as hardships - they might also get one or two weaknesses. There's magic jewelry if you don't want the headache of the (usually non-consented) creation of the Dhampyr, and that can be a strength and a weakness in one go. There's even leeway to make a vampiric paladin (and not just Kristoff - I mean the D&D version with divine powers) since in some iterations of Vampiric lore; the vampire's aversion to a cross is based on their own religious beliefs, and if they come from a polytheistic world setting; there's always dark gods to create a "fallen" version of paladin who STILL fights against the darkness, or is willing to use their "dark" supernatural state as a means of repentance they'll probably never actually earn. I'd be interested to see what weapon types they'll allow - and whether unarmed will actually be viable. Rather than Clunky as fuck to control (I love Gangrel in VTMB = both TTRPG & the video game, but the tank controls and the lack of EXP for combat really killed the incentive to play the way I would have liked)

if they make a vampire fantasy game where you are the vampire i truly hope it is first person and they do a better job than the game Vyampire or however it was spelled that game was ok but not that fun. I can even live with skyrim level of graphics so mediocre would even work if they do a good enough job. I've always wanted a game like that but Vampire Masquerade was the best choice you had, now with the second game comming out i'm worried they will take on a very bad mind set that will ruin the game. if this is middle ages then it would have to persecute and eliminate anyone who is abnormal or at the very least banish them from the towns and society. lets hope this is an amazing game.

VTMB2 was epic for its time but it's way too old today to replay.

Vampire Hunter D is a pretty amazing movie. Second film released around 2000 is also decent. But what takes the cake are the novels the movies were based on. Highly recommend. As for CDPR... Ousting people who don't want to follow the "current thing," or the "established worldview" is a longstanding and proud tradition in the modern gamedev. People who are excited for new Witcher games from CDPR, or the next Cyberpunk, should trully temper their expectations. CDPRs mistake was to sell out, become a publicly traded company, and as a result, becoming infiltrated with the "current thing" pushers, who aren't interesting in making good video games, but in pushing "The Message." DEI and ESG is on the forefront for CDPR now, as was stated by their spokesperson in plain speech, or as I call it in Black Speech, because DEI and ESG is equivalent to Sauron's scheming - it cannot create, only destroy what it touches.

I might upset people here. I would love a good vampire game. But too many of the vampire stories are based in dark medieval forests... yadyada. I am really aching for a modern vampire game, with less blood and gore. Has anyone ever watched the 1998 TV series Ultraviolet.
