33:14: I struggle with being a perfectionist sometimes, so when I used to practice I would play as far into a scale until I screwed up and then I'd restart. But that would just discourage me, and get me stuck in one place, and that made me not want to do it as often, so then my consistency would drop. But I've really enjoyed your videos here as when I screw up, you keep going, and I can't just get stuck on one scale I gotta keep up and it helps me practice more in every session. So even though I'm not practicing for 2 hours straight, I'm getting a more balanced and less stressful experience and it really helps me. Thank you for your efforts and I hope you feel better soon!

Hey! First of all thanks for the words! They mean a lot and I’m all for more fun and less stress. Tbh as you saw in the vid, my playing is FAR from being perfect. You’ll find ample examples in this video 😂 But it’s still fun to do. Let me propose a new perspective-if I may: the goal is not for us to play perfectly. The goal is for us to show up and play consistently. The consistency will get us closer to playing perfectly (if it is ever possible to be perfect). But if one day you play with a lot of mistakes but still do the same reps, you still have achieved your goal. Because the goal is showing up, not being perfect 🤝🏼🤘🏼
