Philips DCC 134
Philips DCC 170
Philips DCC 175
Marantz PMD 601
Panasonic RQ-DR9
When touching the lid, the player will either stop or turn off.
The switch can be cleaned and in this video we will show you how it can be done.
The video shows the entire restoration, but if you just want to remove the lid and get to the single screw at one side on the lever that holds the lid, you can also take out the two screws in the lid that holds the other end of the lever in place. Then you can take the inside of the lid out (be careful not to damage anything) and fix the switch.

Was this also the problem with some new players? I had a DCC170 once, which also stopped playing when you pressed the lid. The guy at the Philips Employees-shop said this was normal, but I disagreed. It was a reason for me to return it.

We currently do not. We have spares if needed from donor machines if you are looking for one.

I found kfc-w-16 this switch looks like about the right size. Have ordered and will let you know.
