DCS MIRAGE F1CE Air to Air Radar Tutorial!

Hey guys! In this video we go over the basic controls, functions and keybinds of your Mirage F1CE's Cyrano IV Radar and how to use it in conjunction with you Matra 530F radar guided missiles and wingtip mounting AIM-9 Sidewinder and Matra Magic I missiles.
This video is a two part video with the first part covering Radar Controls and Keybinds in the cockpit, while the second half is a demonstration of how to use the radar with your missiles to engage aerial targets.
Hopefully this video should get you up and running with using your Mirage F1CE in air to air combat on day one!

I am counting the hours now until I can take the Mirage F1 up for its first flight - hope I dont crash the thing (after 30+ years of flight simming, I still crash from time to time) also I dont understand why people would be mentioning other youtubers in your comment section, seems a bit rude to me. Great to see you chose the SAAF variant. just to point out that the actual F1CZ had different placements for the signage and emblems. the danger triangle was under the canopy, and the 5 point castle emblem was at the beginning of the intake, also there was a springbok and not an eagle in the emblem. this is a modern day emblem. but all in all great to see it once again, even if it is simulated. do you know if it will be put on the "free to try" section as with other aircraft?

Yes and its AWFUL ! the DCS ZA guys on FB are working on breakneck speed to make the correct paint schemes and they look awesome.

Hey spud, learning the radar scan bar pattern (1st bar, 3rd bar, 2nd bar, 4th bar) as it sweeps makes it much easier to find and lock targets

Watched a few videos and couldn't see what what missile release was as no option for the usual weapon release button on this aircraft. On the Mirage F1 its RLT then SPACE its not under "weapon release" but under Bombs, Rockets, Missiles and sight recorder button

Does the CE version come with a air to air refuelling capability I know the saaf version had a retractable fuel probe just curious if the CE has the same feature I know the other version coming have fuel probe

@@generallee011 They’re called Aviron, and they’ve been developing it for a few years now. And the screenshots show VERY detailed modeling. It looks quite fantastic. But no ETA.

Pretty good tutorial, but my Mirage f1 isnt picking up any aircraft on the radar, only a bunch of noise. Anyone else have this is issue?

"Just like the mirage 2000" uuuh, the mirage 2000 very much does not have a separate stick to control the radar, the TDC, target lock / target unlock, and radar elevation is on the HOTAS

@@liamhuckle5826 the castle emblem is in the wrong place, should be at the beginning of the intake, there should be a springbok in the castle emblem. the eagle is for today's aircraft. the danger triangle should be under the canopy. thy got the cammo all wrong. colours should be (R,G,B) Deep Buff - 197-152-102, Olive Drab - 115-112-77, and Lt ADM Gray - 155-180-177. however that's just me being over detailing. it is good to see the SAAF however. IMO if your going to simulate the aircraft then a proper job should be done. i do understand though that they have done many country skins to hats off. would have loved to see the CZ version as it was possibly the most used variant that actually saw war

why did they ruin? do you know how many skins they made? around 50 skins, if you are not agree tell them. At least you have SAAF, many modules they have around 2 or 3 skins.

@@PabloFernandez-lp2er If they where going to bother to do the SAAF though at least they could get the colors correct. It is not even close at all, thats the thing. Its not a little badge or some thing its the entire color scheme of the aircraft that is wrong.
