Just a comment as Russian is my mother tongue: I'm 99% sure that in this case Petrovich is not a Surname, but a Middle name that is used as a respectful way of calling your friend, which is typical in FSU countries. So, it must be pronounced as PetrOvich, with the emphasis on "O" sound, not "E".

Thanks Wolfpack345 for showing the details. AI Petrovich pilot is still a bit too aggressive, when accelerating or decelerating I think.

Just getting started with Helicopter combat, which of the DCS helicopters would be best to start with (single-pilot)? I feel that this HIND might be a bit much for me to handle with just getting started with the combat element also knowing that I am NOT a seasoned pilot either *Yet* ----- The two helicopters that I own are the Hind and the Huey. I don't mind buying a new Helicopter for combat, please give me your #1 choice of which unit I should buy that will give me the quickest learning curve to start playing this SIM with my buddies on a SYRIA server. I certainly appreciate your help with this !!!!!!! Thanks again !!!!!! (I have a ton of Virpil equipment to use to setup a Helicopter with the exception of the Control Panel #3 (which is the Helicopter one), and I don't have a true Cyclic and Collective from Virpil but can make due with my HOTAS (virpil stick and throttle). Thanks again!!!!! (I do have a Frankenstien Stick made from a Microsoft Force Feedback II if you think that would be better than the CM2 w/WRBRD base.)

Not completely sure since I’m an A-A guy but I think when you destroy a ground target you say “shack” rather than “splash”. But other than that, great video!

My Petrovich won't fire. He used to, but now I can't get him to fire. Thought I'm doing something wrong, but it seems I'm doing everything like in your tutorial. Is it a bug? Maybe it's cause I'm playing the multithreading version of the game?

Although i can see the petrovich trinagle,i do not get the moving target reticule for petrovich when he looks for and finds a target. Anyone know how to bring up this crosshair?

Moving mark on ASP sight will follow operator sight movements if pilot ASP sight is on auto mode and weapon selector is in Off/MSL position

There is seriously something wrong with my Petrovich. I can't get him to fire weapons no matter what I do, even when I give him Free Fire he just does not shoot... This is becoming a real problem that is making me pretty angry. I don't have any issue with George so wtf

Apparently it's a problem with my game in general because I can't even launch ATGM from the Gunner seat... Man do I just love DCS..

ED is completely missing the point. They should be developing the AI to be compatible with voice attack/VAICOM or an inhouse voice command module.

Why? Most people will never use their voice to command anything. Even if they have the possibility. Take me as an example. I'm living with other people. So i can't always be talking to the AI. Even now with VIACOM available not even 1% of the DCS players use it. VIACOM is amazing. But most people don't want to or can't use it. So i think you don't see the point here.

Ukraine also uses this exact same Mi-24P helicopter. They have made fantastic use of it, and arguably have the best Mi-24 upgrade (the 24PU2) ever made. I don’t see it as Russian, it’s a Soviet originated aircraft that is currently used by countries like Ukraine, Russia, Hungary, Czech Republic.
