I Love Leave It To Beaver 🦫🦫🦫, I Still Watch It Every Morning 🌞🌞🌞 On MeTV, They Play 2 Shows, One At 7:00 Am And One At 7:30 Am. One Of My Favorite Episodes Is When Beaver Finds Out From A City Worker That The Water Will Be Shut Off For Awhile And It's Hot Out, So Beaver Gathers Up All The Water He Can And Sells It To Wally And His Friends Because They Are Very Thirsty From All Of The Yardwork They've Been Doing On This Hot Day 😂😂😂 I Personally Don't Think There's A Bad Episode Of Leave It To Beaver 🦫🦫🦫.

My favorite memory of "Whitey" was when he talked Beaver into climbing the billboard to see if there was really hot soup in the bowl which had steam coming out of it. Just before Beaver falls into the bowl, he calls Whitey a "dumb kid." To which, Whitey softly replies to himself out loud with a big grin on his face, "Yeah. I'm the dumb kid." lol Classic Whitey hijinks. Thank You for the wonderful memories, Mr. Fafara. Rest In Peace.

I disagree, sir. We don’t need to go back. The same morals and virtues of yesteryear are still taught today. And not only by White, middle class, Christian Nationalists. I’m thankful my daughter can open a bank account, buy a home, have a credit card, a car on her own without the signature of a father, husband or employer. A woman can still honor a man deserving of honor, rear children, hold a job or be an at home mom, without going back to the good ole days which weren’t so good for most people. If you’d just refrain from speaking, no one would ever know.

What a sad story. He was very good in his role. I still watch Beaver regularly thanks to me tv . Thanks for the story however heartbreaking. Too many child stars suffered afterwards

You only hear about the negative stories of former child stars like Dana Plato, Gary Coleman, Jay North etc...many who took the drug route but YOU NEVER HEAR about all the former child actors who ended up very well. Some invested their money and prospered ( one being " Mikey" the Wheaties boy). Shirley Temple told Larry King her experience was so positive that she would have done it for free. Shelley fabray, director Ron Howard Opie on The Andy Griffith show.also had a positive experience, Danny bonaduce although involved in drugs credits his entertainment career with saving his life. He had something to live for. Shall I go on? Elizabeth Taylor, etc...

My favorite Leave it to Beaver moment with Stanley Fafara was in The 1983 Still the Beaver Movie in the Flashback of when Whitey sets Beaver up to go check out if there really is hot soup in the steaming bowl on the billboard.Then flashing back to the present Whitey is played by Ed Begley Jr. and he's laughing in reminscing back to this very memory.

The suicide of my cousin, former child acting star Rusty Hamer, sparked the beginning of the organization A Minor Consideration in 1991. A Minor Consideration works with former child actors and present child actors to improve child labor laws in the entertainment industry and to help former child actors deal with the tricky transition issues of going from "Star" to regular person.

OH, MY GOSH, Richard!! I remember vividly the day that Rusty Hamer's suicide was announced on the news!! I was so heartbroken. I LOVED Rusty on "Make Room For Daddy." He was so comical that came across naturally. I am so very sorry for your loss. Rest In Peace, Mr. Hamer. Thank You for the laughter and the great memories.

That was Whitey, I remember the other friend, with the thicker blonde hair and who was taller, see the 5:26 scene. Didn't know these 2 were brothers. Have seen the show in reruns. What a wonderful show. Definitely a blueprint for future sitcoms. Sad to hear about Stanley's future troubles. It seemed he deserved much better.

Stanley had a hard time putting Hollywood behind after Leave It To Beaver, but what about his older brother? Was he able to go on and live a successful life outside of acting? This was so tragic.

That's sad that he went down that way of life. I live here in Oregon City Oregon. He's buried right down the road from me. Redland Pioneer Cemetery. I visited his gravesite 2022.

Too many children actors had problems which is why Paul Peterson, the Son Jeff from The Donna Reed Show, became an activist & established the organization A Minor Consideration to support child stars & other child laborers through legislation, family education, personal intervention & counseling for those in crisis. It’s a cut throat industry where people are even mistreated while still acting on the job, adults included. All in the name of the public being entertained. What I wonder about is why Parents or anyone themselves for that matter would want their Children to become a part of this industry in the first place but people are unaware of the pitfalls & are attracted to the money & glamor & attention in being famous. There have always been horror stories in other similar industries like modeling as well.

These child actors have real struggles when their roles are cancelled. Very few get the guidance and help from the parents in having a plan B after stardom. Only the strong survive Hollywood sadly. I myself had to be proactive during my high school years in forging my career path. My parents strongly encouraged me to at least finish high school by taking advantage of the business classes offered at the school during the early 1970’s. I dreamed of being in show business but now am glad I never pursued this dream. Too many tragic stories. Very sad..R.I.P. Stanley Fafara. ❤🙏🌹🌟

More success stories than unsuccessful ones. Danny bonaduce stressed this over and over. Today your typical teenager in the USA is either a high school drop out, is heavily involved in drugs and alcohol, overweight or obese, diabetic, gets pregnant,etc....Almost all the child stars from the Brady bunch and partridge family went on to do quite well. You only hear about the negative stories not the reality of today's kids who AREN'T in show business.

Why is there not a “ safety net” set up by the studios for child actors who are suddenly dumped from a job that was all they knew? So many of them end up in miserable, unhappy lives without any guidance. Their families should be prepared to take their child back, not as a breadwinner, but as a normal, dependent child. They should be offered psychological help and financial counseling. It’s sad that this is still going on. The studios should be held accountable for child dumping. Better yet, don’t use children!

I loved Leve it to Beaver ! I taped a bunch of shows on my VCR and watch them to make me laugh. I can go online now. Things have changed. Young actors can have bad lives after their star goes out. Some end up in a rut.

Of all the young friends Beaver had, Whitey Whitney was about the only one that was consistently there from the beginning, as others changed or outgrew the child roles. On the other hand, Tiger Fafara just kind of got written out without explanation along with Wally's other friend Chester Anderson when they reached high school. The last episode those two were in was the one where Wally got a job selling ice cream from a cart.

The subsidized housing in Portland Stanley lived in was called the "Jefferson West" located at sw11th and Jefferson a block away from the Portland Art center and the Park blocks which ran up to Portland State U. I had a friend who lived there and knew stanley well enough but never hung out with him. He was well known as a heroin addict by everyone there. his was a sad story that was surely going to end soon and of course it did just that.

I think he was a good actor for his age. Its a shame Hollywood didn't do more to promote childrens careers after a show ended. Hollywood seems like a cold place to me. When I was 12 years old I had a neighbor who was a minor actor. He talked about a movie they were thinking of filming where I lived and thought I looked perfect for the part. I was not an actress, unless you want to include school plays, but I had the appearance they were seeking and did at leat show some interest in the field. Slim Pickens was to star in the movie and my Mom and I had dinner with him and my neighbor so he could meet me. My Mom, who had an interest in acting, but never tried yo push her children into it, played an extra in 2 area movies. Her and I were both excited, but I will admit I wasn't too keen on the possibility of being uprooted at that age to go act on some location. I was already a military child who moved around and didn't like losing friends. The movie never got enough backing so the project was canceled. I may or may not of won the role, but years later when I learned how so many of these young stars end up, I can honestly say, thank goodness I didn't get the part. I struggled with alcohol addiction at a young age myself, but was able to quit at age 20 and put it behind me. Had I lived the life these children did and not been around the strong support of my parents who taught strong Christian values, I'm afraid I might have been a bad statistic.

Some of my favorite memories of Whitey Whitney; (played by Stanley Fafara) in “Leave it to Beaver”, were Whitey’s nonchalant, passive aggressive ways of convincing people into thinking he was helping them, while playing dumb and feigning ignorance. In reality it was Whitey who would solely benefit from his own shenanigans. He was so manipulative, but not enough to really cause trouble he just knew how to play the game lol. I really like when whitey and his classmates are singing “Row Row Row Your Boat,” and at the end Whitey finishes with a longer, heart felt “Dream” with a long emphasis on the “eam” part of the song then follows it up with that great big signature smile. It’s a shame his life was plagued by the destructive nature of addiction. In death, I hope he’s found healing, peace and comfort. RIP Stanley “Whitey Whitney” Fafara you fell victim to this World’s back alleys, but are certain you’re happiness was found in the heavens.

I am such a fan of the whole cast of the show. It's just sad to hear when any of them pass away. Granted, the show ended before I was born. I still grew up with them. Kids really got taken advantage of. They should be making money to this day, because of those shows.

I think jerry and tony did try to help him but you can only do so much and he needed to hit his bottom, which sadly was death! He does have a marker and many people have markers like that! Just because its not a headstone doesnt mean he wasnt thought of, its a n inground marker just like many people i know have!! My personal favorite memory?.... Whitey's HAIR!..... Alongside his mischievous and obvious comical behavior.....He had the perfect 50s to early 60s "Greaser" hairdo... Probably because? Back WHEN I WAS younger, my hair WAS such a wirey NON straight style of which I couldn't do A WHOLE LOT WITH, other than WHAT my hair WAS GONNA DO! Lol... But yeah! ALL these years later, and having not seen "Beaver episodes" till recently (and at 50 yo, WITH totally STRAIGHT hair THAT IS? TOTALLY manageable)... I re-watch/look BACK at THOSE episodes and think? 🤔....Dane! WHITEY HAD THA HAIR, maan! 😎. 🤘🔥🤘

I was born in 45. Almost everyone I know who went into drugs turned out to be catastrophtc. There were a few who got help but most went down the spiral. I was in the Army and I knew soldier after soldier who was addicted to whatever before they joined. All of them finally realized if they did not stop it, they weren't going to be around too much longer. They went cold turkey and joined the army to get away from the environment they were in. They said if they hadn't done that they would not have made it to 25.

@@FactsVerse Very hard to say. I'm guessing you need to make videos that are popular. Here's one idea. I read a book called "Men are from Mars and women are from Venus." It was not mentioned in the book, but I realized from having read it, that all women know that they are a princess. They don't brag about it but they know it. The reason being is that they look at men's behavior and there are things that we do that they would never do. For instance teenage females would never do vandalism. Or do something as crazy as throwing rocks over a highway crossing bridge to and try to hit a car with it. (Most men of course would not do something like that, but by them it's non existent.) In the show "To catch a predator" there had never been a single female who would do that. I know of females buying and and riding motorcycles, but they never rev up the engine to bring attention to themselves. They would never try to ride the motorcycle in the fashion that a motor cycle gang member would ride it to show that they're of an illicit outcast sort and that they're proud of it. All of them have excellent table manners. If any of them were to go an exclusive restaurant or a mansion, all of them would instinctively know how to behave in such an environment. Jim Carrey made a joke about this in one of his films, you can see the part on KZfaq. (Ace Ventura at the Party) There's an extremely low crime rate among them and once released from prison there is less of a chance that they will return.

So sad, I grew up watching LITB and loved these characters. Interesting discrepancies on birth & death. At 0:32 the video states Stanley Fafara was born in 1949 (at 7:46 his gravestone shows a birthdate of Sept 20, 1950???). At 7:50 the video states he passed away on Sept 20, 2003 (at 7:46 his gravestone shows a death date of Sept 19, 1950???). A separate question, at 5:01 the video states "Lacking parental support to steady life after stardom ended he floundered thru his mid-teen years..." What support is there for this statement regarding his parents? And if true, it's difficult to blame the studios for his subsequent string of poor choices when his parents weren't there for him.

It's truly sad how many children stars lives get messed up. I don't have children but if I did I wouldn't want them to be child stars. For every Ron Howard you get many Stanley Farfara's.

He had a brother, children & possibly his parents were still alive since he died at such a young age. While it would have been generous & wonderful for Jerry Mathers or Tony Dow to make such a gesture, they were in no way obligated to do so. Whitey's life circumstances, like most of us, were the result of his habits & choices (sadly, poor habits & choices in his case).

The person you show walking with Beaver at the beginning of the film does not appear to be Stanley. He's bigger than Beaver and a little more heavy set. Later, Beaver is clearly taller than Stanley. That's a bit confusing.

Oh, it had to be Whitey talking Beaver to climb up in the soup billoard. That show provided me with an out every time I got in trouble with my parents. i gave them a lesson in comparitave stupidity when i would say something like. "Well at least I'm not dumb enough to fall into a billboard soup bowl. It worked the first time but not so much the second time i said it.

Probably not; contracts for TV series did not require payments for reruns until after about 1965, I think. However, I believe some performers were able to legally get payments for very popular shows later even if their original contracts had not required them.
