Yellow throated Marten lives in Asia. Ocelots live in South America. The cat is most likely a Mainland Leopard cat which is a small cat species.

The cat was not an Ocelot but resembled a Mainland Leopard cat juvenile. I doubt a Martin would attack and kill a healthy adult. I hate when people post these types of videos claiming to be experts, when they are only regurgitating inaccurate crap.

It looks like a very young ocelot, in fact, it doesn't look like an ocelot. They're bigger than a domestic cat and are great hunters and its diet includes the martens.

It was something like an Asian leopard cat (not Leopard) that like the Yellow-throated marten are both from Asia. Couldn't have been a Ocelot as they are from the Americas.

Не оцелот это, а скорее всего азиатская леопардовая или как ее еще называют бенгальская кошка. Именно на нее напала и одолела крупная куница--харза. А снято это где нибудь в Индии, или Непале. Оцелот, третья по размерам кошка Юж. Америки и кунице не по зубам. Там тоже обитает своя куница, -тайра, но выглядит она иначе.

Но существует также порода дом. кошек, называемая бенгал, выведенная путем скрещивания леопардовой и домашней кошки. Это многих сбивает с толку. Бенгальская кошка довольно широко распространена в Азии, в разных местах она называется по разному, леопардовая, бенгальская, ириомотская и т. д. Она живет даже в России, в Приморье и Приамурье, но называют ее у нас дальневосточная лесная кошка или амурский лесной кот. То есть налицо значительная внутривидовая изменчивость.

@@user-mx1om8ql1v надо знать размер харзы, это самый крупный представитель рода мартес. Она значительно крупнее лесной, каменной куниц, соболя. Достигает в длину метра, без учета хвоста. И конечно крупнее взрослой леопардовой кошки. Харза способна завалить даже небольшого оленя, например кабаргу.

I have a problem in one video on the identity of the "cat" bring killed by a Yellow-throated Martin. If the "cat" was an ocelot, it could be a young but that would the ocelot is out of place normally from Central or South America. Or the Yellow-throared Martin is out of place being from Aaia.

Ocelot was tiny, probably still a kitten. The adult ones are way bigger than domestic cats. Would destroy the marten.

That looks more like a margay than an ocelot. Margays are very similar looking but have a considerably smaller build and longer tail than an ocelot. An adult ocelot would destroy a marten

I often say that nature would be out of balance if mustelids had representatives among large predators. For me, more than canids and even felids, mustelids are the most efficient predators among carnivores. A large mustelid predator would be like a bear with the speed of a tiger and the acumen of a fox.
