@@robertcoggeshall3071 we haven't seen the movie yet. It could be a different TVA, a different department from the one in Loki, or there may be an explanation on why they are now concerned with different Multiverses.

@@robertcoggeshall3071 I don't remember what I said you are referring to but basically the way I see it is that during the rule of He Who Remains that was the case because HWR's goal was to isolate the Sacred Timeline from the other Multiverses to avoid war with the Council of Kangs, so he had variant timelines pruned that could pose a risk of reaching out into the vast multiverse. Post HWR/Loki's Multiverse it seems it looks as if there is more freedom and expansion and the TVA, the one we know, are now focused on stopping new Kangs from appearing. That could mean they are preventing new variant Kangs from appearing within Loki's Multiverse, but the Council of Kangs exist beyond that multiverse, so if the TVA discovered their existence that could be a reason as to why they have decided to expand into different Multiverse timelines.

@@notmephisto1375 they mentioned other departments in loki s1. It may have been Mobius' department that was concerned with just the sacred timeline. Hwr was just concerned with stopping branches from occurring in the sacred timeline, but that doesn't mean that was his only concern. We should find out soon.
