When they first cast Yvonne de Carlo as Lilly they weren’t sure if it was a mistake because she was a big name in Hollywood and the producers thought she might be a diva. Instead everyone loved her.

Lily has always shown signs of stubbornness in many episodes including this segment where she was disappointed in Eddie’s bullying behavior towards a couple of boys. Her smacking the daylights out of Herman and scolding him were worth pure gold. 😂

Herman gets frustrated easily,he’d say Darn,Darn,Darn,hands shaking,Herman playing golf was funny,and baseball,in a interview,Fred Gwynne said the Herman costume was heavy,and sweaty,he sweated a lot ,drank lemonade,to keep from being dehydrated.❤😊

I used to c Al aka grandpa in Washington square park in nyc all time and had many convos with him in the late 80’s early 90’s. Nice and funny man. Loved watching this show growing up.

I was there when it aired in the 60's. The Munsters competed with The Addams Family. We saw it on our console t.v. We had The Brady Bunch, The Partridge Family, Gilligan's Island, Bewitched, Twilight Zone. Fred and Grandpa was on 'Car 54 where are you.' Fred was on 'My Cousin Vinny'.

My Dad's middle name was Clyde. He passed away December 26, 2014. I just love hearing Fred Gwynne aka Herman Munster say Clyde. My Dad was much nicer than this Clyde. He worked at the Steel Mill for 42 years. He was a good, solid worker. No one ever said a bad word about him. I miss you Fred Gwynne and I miss and love you Dad.

I stood up for myself in middle school when I was being bullied and I was grounded for mostly about a week when alot of my teachers wouldn't do anything about the problem when I reported it. Eddie should have only not told his parents, he should told his teachers about Jack and the staff in the office about him.

I found the complete uncut series on DVD at Best Buy last Christmas. It's loaded with extras including the pilot episode. Have not seen it out on Blu-ray yet.
