Fred had a face like rubber, so interesting to watch him make Herman's facial expressions. What a versatile actor and actually handsome. They used a big plasma ball for effect.

His control of his facial expressions was impressive. That was a lot of work to remember each take. Talent.

The 60's was the greatest decade for comedy TV. The Munsters, The Beverly Hillbillys, Andy Griffith, Bewitched, I Dream of Jennie, Laugh In. So many more I forget to mention. The 60's was a great decade for laughs...

The purity of this "scary" show is still so great, and if you really think about it, they promoted acceptance of what someone looked like on the outside because once you met them, they were all good inside despite a little strangeness! This show was against judgment of different looking/acting people. Loved it for a lifetime! Thank You! 🥰

Truly from the brighter side of darkness. No other series on TV has shown so much warmth and affection of our true "diamonds in the rough" inner selves. Good chemistry in these actors/actresses.

I want to thank you for bringing me back to a TV show I loved growing up, and especially a few of my favorites. This is one of them. I couldn't stop laughing when he was turned into a woman. Move over Mrs. Doubtfire and Madea, for Herman Munster was the first. FredGwynne you was a spectacular actor, and so missed.

Fun facts: 1. The electrical equipment Grandpa uses in the dungeon was designed by Kenneth Strickfaden for the original Frankenstein movies (starting in 1931). Since those movies were produced by Universal, the equipment--saved since the '30s and '40s--was available for use on The Munsters (also a Universal property). So what you see here are the same equipment and effects used when Dr. Frankenstein (Colin Clive) created the Monster (Boris Karloff). 2. The music heard when the female Herman first shows up coming up from the dungeon and when she comes into the kitchen before going off to her job is an Irving Berlin song, "A Pretty Girl is Like a Melody." 😀

I always get a laugh when Marilyn says " good evening aunt Herman". And Herman going to work as a cocktail waitress is hysterical.😊
