I'm 29 and I thoroughly enjoyed this. Comedians back then were funny without even trying, they could read you the phone book and still make you laugh. Very few modern day comedians can do that.

I have watched this show "The Dean Martin Show" all throughout high school on NBC…Those were the days when we only had three networks: ABC, CBS and NBC… No one cared about being "politically correct" or dealing with racist remarks…And no swearing…What a concept?! These comedians spoke "well written English" with complete sentences… Then again, life used to be so simple then...

Lincoln didn't issue the Emancipation Proclamation until two years into the War, FYI, and even then it only applied to the seceded States, NOT the Northern States, but how many people know that? He also said if he could preserve the Union without freeing a single slave, he would do so. He's not the great emancipator that our history books made him out to be. Gen. Grant kept his slaves throughout the War.
