About the Festival:
Established in 1987, Melbourne International Comedy Festival (#MICF) has become one of the three largest comedy festivals in the world, alongside Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Montreal's Just for Laughs Festival.

I'm comfortable being a cis woman but I hate gendered products. My dad uses old spice deoderant with that weird scent gnome analogy and my mom uses like powder fresh stuff and always buys me it. But I like "shower fresh" even if it's marketed for women but it doesn't have a specific smell. It smells like literal normal soap.

This is obviously not like "gender scents" but it sorta is. Most of my guy friends use "women's" shampoo because it smells nice. Like, why should guy stuff smell like Cologne? (Maybe that's why they stink, they don't think they have to put it on after!) Smell like whatever you want. If I smell like an apple and the guy next to me smells like roses, I'd be a bit happier and not be having a migrain from "bear attack scent"

ZERO hate towards here.. but just consider, they make those kinds of products based on what *we* prefer. If we all wanted less extreme categories, they would only make normal crap. We provide feedback in many different ways.. it's a vicious cycle.

lmao I feel like DeAnne is far too great to be a standup comedian because people usually go to comedy shows to chill and laugh at the dumbest things (although thats changing greatly nowadays!), and so when DeAnne throws at them the unsolicited concepts that really speak the worlds' truth, they are just a dead crowd. But really DeAnne should be so much more appreciated.

I love them and their comedy! however, by saying "hey guys" they are assuming other peoples' gender. They should start saying "hey folks" or "hey all" I know its hard to take gender out of your own vocabulary but you know never who your audience is or who you are talking to.

Valerie Madro I *respectfully* disagree. "Guys" has been used to a group of _only_ females and men and women mixed both for forever, as the intention of the word is to include *everyone* . I don't see the big deal it be the _same_ with +++. Great routine, though! Funny!!

adam mac In a world that is evolving and adapting to new gender identities and terminology, "guys" doesn't mean the same as it used to and it was accepted by everyone in the past but now its invalidating to people. For example, I don't identify with my assigned gender at birth but I don't identify as the opposite gender as well. So saying "hey guys" is invalidating my gender identity as non binary. I don't feel comfortable when people all the time say "hey guys". Samen with people who identify the same was as I do and other people a part of the LBGT+ community.

I am a woman, gender-wise, but I am genuinely most attracted to androgynous people. Then again, it doesn't really matter, because no matter what I find most appealing at first glance, I guess personality is always key,which is why I am pansexual. Also, I feel like I am starting to ramble, so I'll stop now.
