this match was a bit on the old side when garra and the naruto verse where of low tier city levels but after a while every major caracters got mad chakra buff and more skilled in combat putting garra way ahead of toph in output and sand manipulation.

@@metamind8674 With earth release and magnet release Gaara has all of her powers and more. Also I think you have a bit of a misconception regarding metal bending. Benders can only bend pure metal if it has impurities in it. Platinum is about 95% pure. The gold dust Gaaras father used is 96% pure and the iron powder that the third Kazakage and Shinki use is 99.9 to 99.99% pure iron. Platinum isn’t some unique element that they can’t bend because it’s just platinum. They can’t bend it because as sato states “not even your mother could bend something so pure”. Also Toph never matched General old iron in one on combat. That was the avatar. She simply metal bended some of his armour off while he was weakened. And Shi tongs library is just large building level. If she was holding back some supernatural beings powers she could’ve destroyed the Fire nation drill. Shi tong simply just lowered the building in the ground and then transported it to the spirit world.

But it’s likely they used a form of organomerury with carbon atoms attached. This also makes it much more toxic than it already is so perfect for poisoning the avatar.

Unfortunately we don’t have any greater speed feats other than lightning on avatar so that’s the best we have for adult Toph. However, Gaara goes from Lightning to relativistic all the way to light speed. Also while Taijutsu is not his specialty, he is still a ninja and has vastly improved his skills with Taijutsu. To the point momoshiki (an alien god that eats stars and planets) compared his skill to that of naruto and sasuke as adults. I don’t doubt that Gaara wouldnt be surprised that she could put influence on his sand. Because in naruto that’s an ability unique to Shukakus jinchuriki. The avatar verse characters are not super human physically. Their just average physical humans with elemental powers. Toph can only bend as fast as her physical body can move. The synopsis in her brain can only react at average human speeds like us. She isnt a mind bender like king bumi, she has to physically move her normal human speed arms and legs to bend. Garra would be able to attack her hundreds of thousands if not millions of times before her normal human speed body can move to bend a single time. She also has the durability of a normal human, meaning she can't tank any of the attacks that damage multi planetary aliens from garra. Toph also has no sand bending feats past building level. She has no attack potency feats past small moutain level meaning she cant damage garras near planetary durability, she has no durability feats past average human level. Garra also hasent used sand armour since the early 2000s. Garra has magnet style, Wind style and lightning style. Garra is a current character and will only get stronger as the boruto series continues. Toph will never beat garra. im sorry you're wrong on this one

Or when they mentioned his sand is tougher than steel, yet Toph breaks his defense with metal? Or the whole get his sand into her blood thing? He appears to be slow as he is mostly calm and he mostly is remembered from the fight with the Rock Lee who was overpowered physically at their point (few years before adult Gaara on which is based death battle). In shinobi world his speed can be medium, but not comparing him to shinobi that were based on speed abilities he is really fast. He had really fast reaction time, was able to defend against Deidara's explosions. He was able to create successful techniques in time of visible flash of detonations. In the end we have three points of win for Gaara. Strategic mind of Gaara is for first and for third. In moment when sand techniques would be to weak to fight Toph he could do two things. She is affecting impurities in metal and by that she is bending metal. So, not only pure platinum. Any pure metal. Like gold. Unless this was bad quality gold, so this still does not need to be plot hole. Fighting against Aang does not matter for Fuuton jutsu. Air bending is just... tiny compared to Fuuton. Air bending is more tactical than pure strength. It could affect enemy's breathing. Against Aang, here Gaara would have problem due to deadly possibilities of Air bending. But in pure power, those are little farts against techniques that can cut or torn trees with roots on entire fields. And I mean Naruto's trees, not real life that are tinier. Her speed as I said isnt bigger than Gaara's. Speed that can be missed by normal human eye is in basic shinobi abilities. Boosted by Shunshin and Kawarimi, that require basically to move three times in front of enemy eyes without being noticed. It is bullshit how it works. Depending on how you scale the tailed beasts.

So, the amount of sand Gaara can use to directly crush her is very limited, she has superior passive defence options, more stamina in battle and more attack potency. So, the only realistic way to defeat her is to use his limited "super sand" while she is not defending herself properly. She needs to let her guard down.

The avatar verse characters are not super human physically. Their just average physical humans with elemental powers. Toph can only bend as fast as her physical body can move. The synopsis in her brain can only react at average human speeds like us. She isnt a mind bender like king bumi, she has to physically move her normal human speed arms and legs to bend. Garra would be able to attack her hundreds of thousands if not millions of times before her normal human speed body can move to bend a single time. She also has the durability of a normal human, meaning she can't tank any of the attacks that damage multi planetary aliens from garra. Toph also has no sand bending feats past building level. She has no attack potency feats past small moutain level meaning she cant damage garras near planetary durability, she has no durability feats past average human level. Garra also hasent used sand armour since the early 2000s. Garra has magnet style, Wind style and lightning style. Garra is a current character and will only get stronger as the boruto series continues. Toph will never beat garra. im sorry you're wrong on this one

Nah they got it right, if anything they didn't do enough research on Toph in the comics which takes place weeks after the series, Toph is a monster in these comics.

Are you for real? do you know how ridiculous the Avatar verse is with abilities like bloodbending from incredibly skilled and powerful water benders, air removal from lethal air benders, bone bending from earth benders and temperature manipulation from fire benders, and more, much more, you have no idea how terrifyingly versatile and powerful the avatar-verse is, the avatar itself would be least of Gaara's problems.

@@metamind8674 While many of those abilities are deadly within the avatar verse. Compared to something like naruto it’s not really that impressive. Also the creators confirmed that earth benders can’t bend living material. So calcium carbonate or bone is not possible to be bent despite what some fan theories with bumi and Kioshi may think. This is because it takes away the uniqueness of bloodbending. Also air benders need time to suck the air out of a person. Zaheer failed to do it on Korra and he needed time to do it on the bendless earth queen. Keep in mind avatar is not a great series because of its power. It’s a great series because of its story. Compared to Gaara Tophs abilities are very limited.

Are you certain of that? According to recent comics, Toph's power has significantly increased since the end of the series. She displayed her exceptional abilities by engaging in a fierce battle against a supernatural creature as big as a skyscraper, capable of destroying multiple cities, and holding it off. Her seismic sense, martial arts fighting skills, and earth-bending powers have improved immensely as well, making her almost invincible in a battle.

Kunai is made of metal, and toph can manipulate and sense metal. Plus you're using Toph when she first faced and encountered Aang and lost, to Toph at the end of the series who can hold her own against a stronger and more capable Aang with his improved air-bending power and martial arts skill.

@@metamind8674 Yeah but wind style in naruto is nothing like that in avatar. It has all the same features and mechanics with added power and cutting ability. And she can’t see it. She can see his sand, his metal (if it’s not pure) and his sand. But she can’t see air. Or lightning. Because little known fact Gaara can actually use lighting release. His arsenal is just vastly superior. And no feat from the comics places her above the tailed beasts.

she has bend sand multiple times, even in a beach episode where she bends sand to craft a miniature kingdom.

The same Toph that held off a castle from sinking into the desert, the same Toph whose faster then the eye can-see reflexes can block and counterattack earth-bending martial arts fighters, warriors, and soldiers including warriors and soldiers of other elemental nations except for air benders, the same Toph who was powerful enough to hold her own against a supernatural being the size of skyscrapers with the power to destroy entire cities to a standstill in the comics which took place weeks after the series plus Gaara isn't faster than light, that's bullshit, I can believe it with characters like Naruto, Sasuke, the other Jinchuriki ninja warriors and even some high-level ninjas like most Hokages and Sainins but Gaara faster than light? really?!
