11 years ago I would listen to this album every day.. Dcfc's music got me through bad times. Transatlanticism is not only a masterpiece, it's a blessing.

“The sugary smell of springtime” is a phrase I still use to describe Tennessee in late March/early April.

Now that I'm approaching 40, I appreciate this song more. All the lying I did just for a few extra nights at my boyfriend's house

this song i always liked back in the day. Now, at 32, it evokes emotions and memories of lost loves and memories...Nostaligic pain.

Songs like this from Death Cab for Cutie have helped to get me through some of the dark days I felt working retail and struggling to know what kind of person I want to be.

I had just moved to Denver. I lived across Colfax from Mile High stadium. It was an incredible experience for a kid like me, humbly coming from a town of less than 2000 people in Illinois. This album helped me everyday, gathering my thoughts and pushing through the city life. On the weekends, we would literally try those mountain passes.

That mystical chord progression is awesome. It adds so much to this song.
