All clips have been borrowed from "Borderland" & various Chalino documentary excerpts, with the sole purpose of commentary and education. Rosalino "Chalino" Sánchez Félix (August 30, 1960 - May 16, 1992) was a Regional Mexican singer and songwriter best known for his corrido recordings.
On May 16, 1992, he was murdered in Culiacán, the capital city of the Pacific coastal state of Sinaloa, Mexico. Since his death, his fame and recordings have grown in popularity.

At that point, I think he knew he was fucked. Any running would be pointless. If they handed him a note like that on stage, they probably had dudes around the building and eyes on him the whole time. But how he wipes that scared look away and then starts performing like nothing is wrong is very admirable. I think most people would have thrown up right there on the stage after reading that note.

@@craftyaccountant23 Fuck off bro. YOU’RE the problem with OUR mexican culture. You don’t appreciate one of if not the biggest singers in the culture. He has had and continues to make a huge impact on this culture itself. People show their appreciation in different ways to the culture. That just comes to show how much pride he has in our culture. @Chris that’s what’s up bro! I bet that tat is sick asf

Has anyone ever seen the note?? I wonder what it said. I mean, besides the obvious overall death threat, I wonder if it said anything else, any indication who made the threat. I wonder if Chalino knew who it came from therefore knowing what would ultimately lead to his demise

Straight Legend! And he turned the night club in South Gate out!! Police couldn’t even control how many cars were in the streets . We lived down the road and passed it every night . Even though we are a white family , we truly loved and still love his music everyday. God Be With you , Chalino 🙏♥️

Fun facts. Chalino was just a regular joe. But he was passionate about his love ones. He was living la vida recia. Aka the crazy life. He loved married women for some odd simp reason. And probably got smoked for that. He was trafficking small in so cal. He was just trying to have the American dream. Feed his fam he had a white bmw. That he drove all around Cali. Always strapped. Great guy for leaving such a beautiful art. Bless the 💀 but more the ppl of America 🤯
