DEAD Talks with David Ferrugio engages death a little bit differently. Each new guest shares their experience with grieving or perspective on death in a way that shatters the “don’t talk about death” taboo. Grief doesn't end; it evolves. Having lost his father on September 11th when he was 12, he learned the importance of discussion and sharing other people's stories. DEAD Talks Podcast hopes to make it a little easier to talk about grief, loss, death, mourning, trauma, or whatever it may be. You may cry, but you also may laugh.

I love hospice nurse Julie! Such a great podcast video. My grandma has dementia and is currently on hospice. I can tell that she’s in the actively dying stage. Her body is deteriorating so quickly. She was only given 5 years to live after she was diagnosed with stomach cancer so it is time. It’s so hard but I know God has her in His hands! “It is all good” which is what she always says 🥺😭

I love Hospice Nurse Julie! I started watching her a few months ago. She has really helped me get through my paralyzing fear of death. I’m not looking forward to death obviously but it doesn’t control me anymore. I’ve been terrified of death since I was 3 and would have panic attacks about it a lot. I am definitely subscribing to your channel!

@@gothboschincarnate3931..God who is Good..is who we need to know before we step into eternity. 'For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life '. John 3:16 And..'Jesus said:"I am the Way the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father but by Me '. John 14:6 All God requires if us is faith to be saved..'by grace are we saved THROUGH Faith..not of works lest any boast'. Faith in Jesus death & resurrection for us!

Will you please see my comment above to 'goth..' I too was full of fear about dying & part of mine was because it meant it was going into eternity. I nearly died when I was a baby so I believe that's where it came from. Anyway..dying is not just about believing it can be done peacefully. When we know Jesus Christ as Saviour & Lord then we can have peace within & trust Him for our eternal security..without Him one might die peacefully but awake to bleak & full darkness..no light or love of God.

Having practically no family from an early age and then having to see my dad wither away slowly and die, I already know what I'm doing when I get to that point. No sense in prolonging it.

I'm very much into dying with dignity and whatever that looks like to you. I believe everyone should have Advanced Directives, a Power of Attorney (even if it's a lawyer), decide on DNR/DNI and under what circumstances.

We must have our eternal security sorted as most important first. All this other stuff is needful but eternity is sure. 'For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life '. John 3:16. AND..'Jesus said, I am the Way the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father but by Me '. John 14:6. There are many voices calling out there but only one truth..Jesus is the only pure sinless man.. very God in flesh who died & rose again. He paid the price for our sin! No wonder the world went black & the earth erupted. Ask Him what your sin is if you think you have none. Like David did, ask Him to show you your heart as He sees it. This isn't just directed at you..its for us all.

I found it strange that she did not mention the team approach in hospice and psychological aspects such as the fear of dying and other unresolved issues are assessed and addressed by the hospice social worker or psychologist and spiritual workers.

When you hang out with people who are dying you learn. Elizabeth Kubler Ross talk about the emotional steps people take when faced with diagnosis of dying. She also talked about the medical systems response. Which is poor. Nurses self care is the only way to do a good job. Takes good self care.

😮 What? You're doing a great thing, what you're explaining with real life experiences all of this is truly what is needed for us who have already gone through, and may experience in the future. So, thank you, Julie! One question, why did you think using the f word was so cool in the middle of this interview? Disappointed. And, no, it is not ok. Ever.

J̌ulie I will never put my loved ones through the gross hideous endings that you show deaths. I was in Victorias Secrets first catalog and I still have svelt bikini figure. Both sides o f my family live into their 100s. When I become unable to have a pain free life I will have a huge wake and then die by my own choice....

May I ask what being in Victoria secrets book with your svelte bikini figure have anything to do with all this. And glory to God that your families have lived into 100s but we don't trust in these things..our trust should be in God who has the power over body & soul. It is Jesus Christ the begotten Son of God yet very Lord who gives Salvation to those who will put their faith in Him. Otherwise we might step into eternity well, but to NO light or love forever..only darkness & still with restlessness of soul. That is a distressing thought but it is according to God's word. I will add this..every prophecy in the Bible has happened to date..everything is as God has said. His Word does not lie. 'For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes on Him shall not perish but have everlasting life '. John 3::16 And..Jesus said: I am the Way the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father but by Me '. John 14:6.

My thoughts exactly. I suspect the “language” was a misguided attempt to appear informal and “relatable.” This was a mistake. Julie’s message is powerful and compelling, and crude language is unnecessary and, indeed, distracting.
