Hi Rick, great to hear from you. Yes, the Noobs Death Valley, I've never joined that group, but they are usually at the DV at the same time we are there (or a week before or after). Last year they were camped at Panamint Springs, that's why I used that as the start location for the maps. It's a ride I recommend you guys do.

Thanks! And yes, it seems to be a combination of a steep climb with lose gravel, with heavy motorcycles with lots of torque. Since then I came across another video where a guy follows KTM's directions, put his 890 rally on maximum traction control (he used level 8) and have at it (not on this road but on similar situation on a Colorado pass). He claims the bike does better on these situations.

Thank you. There are lots of roads I recommend for average riders. I hope to start posting videos more often, where I will describe/show more roads. But to start with, the road that takes you to the "Race Track" from Ubehebe Crater is a good one. You can also visit Ballarat, just to mention two locations at extreme points. You can probably try Hunter Mountain Rd and visit Hunter Cabin. It connects to Race Track, so you could do a loop going back down via Race Track rd. It's along loop, though. Saline Valley Road all the way to the hot springs is a good one as well, although it is rough at points, it is not difficult. And there are several paved roads as well. Hope to share more videos soon.
