I've never been to prison but I've worked with A LOT of dudes that've done time (construction work) and there is A LOT of weirdos. And I always think to myself I'd lose my God damn mind if I was stuck in a cell with these dudes all day

Prentis Williams Yeah in county here in Michigan, they'd take their turns free styling in a cypher.. and the best part is the Somalian dudes that didn't really speak English would join in with some African chant to the beat 😂 I was in a dorm with federal ICE inmates, & inmates from every race, nationality, ethnicity, etc would participate in the cyphers in all kinds of languages 😂😂

He knows every rule and regulation ever, he knows the co's work schedules, he knows who is married to who and who retired and who died, what bar they all drink at, what kind of cars they all drive, he even tells you what the sergeant ate for dinner 3 nights ago! Death I Bring is the dude that offers valuable advice on how to handle prison and he humanizes those who have done time. Joe off APS is the guy who concentrates on helping guys when they get out. I've only been to jail twice no more than 12 hours at a time but the worst kind of people in jail were the ones who couldn't stop talking about the time. One girl literally stood and stared at the clock the whole time complaining! Best advice I got was don't let the time do you but do the time

My 8 man cell we made good stores and looked out for watch other we would make a big slam every night. We would get together and based on how much money guys had . We pretty much did store together. There was one old Mexican man( real good guy too) . He didn’t make store. His family didn’t know where he was. He ate every night too. But we always had one or 2 in the cell making sure no one come trying to steal. When I get locked up , I joke around. Keep my circle small. Play cards ( no gamble) Just for fun . With cellies. I keep em laughing. And we could pretty much choose our cell mates. So we tried to keep cool ppl with a lil time . Because we didn’t want no Johnny bobo in the cell. When guys started going home, or prison. They all said. Despite being locked up. This was the best time I ever had locked up. I still keep in touch with as many of them guys I can. I put lil $ on books. Not much cause I’m not rich. But enough for them to be able to have a lil something.

Awesome hearing that I'm not the only one who absolutely hates football season in lockup. Besides your regular California politics, the raucousness of sports fans were for sure the most prolific source of beef for me. One time during the superbowl I even ran into the day room screaming at everyone and threatening to smash the only TV on the block if they didn't shut the hell up - while they did tone their idiocy down, berating other groups and threatening to smash our block's only TV didn't go over so well with my people..
