I feel like it's also just not true? Zur has an attack trigger on a haste-less body, without access to red. There's a pretty good chance Zur does jack all the turn you play them.

Necropotence

I looked up a video for the combo, and it was using Zur to get Necropotence and setup win conditions with Thassa's Oracle and Laboratory Maniac, but also included other setup such as Helm of Awakening, Future Sight and Mind over Matter, so it feels like its definitely not a one turn combo and has a lot of potential vulneriblities.

@@nigh_anxiety Yea, certainly not one turn. My preference is giving zur gauntlets of light and stone skin. You delete people pretty quick with that.

Usually the search is for Necropotence. Doomsday plays a part in the deck as a good 1 card win that doesn't use the commander. This video is kind of misleading because early Zur decks relied on his tutors more, Now he just searches the one thing necro or removal and in most cases is not necessary (Ad Naus, Peer etc.) When they do use him he searches for Necro you pay 39 life go to end step, draw into shimmer myr, cast it then play all your fast mana, cast Aetherflux Reservoir and win. Doomsday is plan b/c for thoracle win for game (plan A being Ad Naus etc). Point is the video is a little wrong because you aren't grabbing doomsday when you go for the Necro line, you are storming off in the end step, and obviously you need to have a combat step, which usually means waiting a turn as most zur decks don't have access to haste.

They may have meant to put Trayzen the Infinite but used the wrong one by accident. Trayzen does go infinite very easily

I play a budget imotekh deck that can go infinite with Nim Deathmantle+Ashnods Altar. Even then it needs another artifact creature on board, and 4 mana to jumpstart it. But then it creates infinite colorless and infinite etb/ltb triggers, and infinite 2/2s. The combo they showed (Phyrexian Altar+Tortuted Existence) would require an artifact creature in hand, and one in the graveyard or battlefield. Activating Tortuted Existence would create 2 2/2s, which can be sacrificed to generate black to activate Tortuted Existence. Infinite 2/2s, colored mana, etbs and ltbs.

​@@cathalmolloy2002 the whole Necron deck is like a 5 card swap out from being an infinite combo deck. Trayzen and Imotehk both go infinite but in different ways. With Imotehk, all you need is a way to loop artifacts in and out of your graveyard with a net loss of 0 resources then by default you're positive 2 creatures each loop. And from there you just use whatever artifact or creature value engine you have to seal the game. For example, with a Metalwork Colossus in the graveyard as long as you have two expendable artifacts and 12 mana worth of noncreature artifacts on board you can loop it infinitely from hand to graveyard.

It just means you actually like having fun.

Zur grabs Necropotence.

When you cast Prossh you get 6 tokens that when sacrificed to food chain represents 6 mana. Prossh himself will only ever produce 7 mana with food chain however even though each time you cast him you have to pay an additional 2 mana providing an additional 2 tokens. The first cast is 6+7 Second cast you go from the 13 mana to 4 leftover producing 8+7 mana leaving you with 19 19-10 9

Cancel, wash away, counterspell, overwhelming splendor, whenever a creature your opponent controls dies it becomes exiled instead, I have hexproof.

It just means it combos with anything, the “kitchen sink” is just a joke referencing that its so easy it can even combo with something as stupid like a wall or a kitchen sink

@@mibbzx1493 this response is greatly appreciated. I spent way too long trying to find a card that resembled or had a name with a sink and all that I got was "the knights of the kitchen sink"

Grab necropotence and draw deck until doomsday. Lots of other enchantments to either gain life or not lose the game.
