I went to opposite way and leaned heavier into the clues and clue synergies only because that was the whole allure of the deck to me when I first heard about it.

Yeah it makes no sense to not make this a clue deck. His version is just generic draw to play Voltron?

It’s still very much a clue deck after these upgrades. I even added a way to generate infinite clues. The clue generators I cut just seemed niche or super inefficient.

honestly this set as a whole has been a slam dunk for needed reprints and value. the dimir deck is absolutely STACKED with expensive reanimator pieces. this one having the token doubler and Bennie is insane.

I added the enchantment Clan Crafter. Essentially, for the same price of sacrificing a clue token you get to draw two (by paying two and sacrificing two clues) and put two additional 1/1 counters. In fact you can sacrifice any of the artifact tokens to get the same result and it doesn’t have to be the clues. I’m surprised to not have seen it in more deck techs.

I made massive cuts, improvements on the lands. I took out all the enters tapped except for the path so you can scry. Added in a few shocks, a snarl, and a few others. & more then 6 basics. But I cut the land size down. By 3 to 34. & added a few more ramp cards, like BoP, chromatic lantren, & incubation druid. I know lantren is controversial at this point, but i wanted my colors to be a bit more fixed.

You are absolutely right about how perfect Minn, Wily Illusionist is in the deck. I wonder if they are avoiding putting DnD cards in the in universe pre-cons.

Im adding the karn creature which will add colorless for each artifact you control which synergies so well with clues. Hey I have 12 clues, 12 foods, 12 treasures. Add 36 colorless which just helps for the clues and foods. Then add the new combo creature that combos with basalt monolith and makes clues cost 1 cheaper
