For the bottom shelf: a trio of wood boxes to create a drawer effect for sunglasses, gum, whatever little items are handy by the door. Felt the bottoms for easy sliding and to protect from scratching the shelf.

I don't understand why KZfaq isn't doing something about it! I watch a lot of influencers on KZfaq and in almost every comment I post, there's a scammer who replies to me (and to others of course). I agree with you about the smoke! I live in north Idaho and have my whole life. The smoke has definitely gotten worse over the last few years! I’m wishing for a summer with no smoke so we can actually enjoy being outside!

In the entry on the second shelf put a couple of baskets for hiding daily used items to grab before walking outside. Or some stacked books. Put a lamp on the left side. Put a basket of blankets or wood pieces underneath the table to hide the plug.

Oh my word thank you for reassuring me that I’m not crazy for having a slight panic attack with the Christmas decor that’s been out in stores significantly earlier this year!!!! It’s been putting a slight damper on my favorite season (Autumn 🍂) because it’s everywhere and in your face! Also yes I live in Washington and the smoke is definitely annoying but we’ve apparently had the lowest amount of forest fires this year in like a decade 🤷‍♀️

Lol. We both work FT, so we turned on some good music, brought out a special snack, and tag- teamed to re-set our hot mess house last night! It was so nice to wake up to a decluttered home this morning. Going to work toward winterizing the screen porch this weekend! No judgement, life is full of chapters and seasons. The joy is in the journeying, not ONLY, in the journey's end!

For the second shelf I'd suggest a cute basket or a trinket dish for anything that you'd drop when entering home (e.g. mail) or quick grab & go before leaving house (keys, facemasks if that's something that your area still requires, chapsticks etc). I definitely would not recommend leaving it completely empty because as it's the case with any purposeless horizontal surface it might become a clutter-spot

I’m taking a break from Christmas decorating this year. With a toddler, being away until the 5th Dec and then from the 23rd onwards (so waking up Christmas Day at someone else’s house), I’ve given myself a pass this year. I’ll still put out my wreath but that’s it! We have also greatly reduced the gifting this year as well. My son is getting a dress up box with things I’ve thrifted. We are focussing on the traditions we want to build instead. I also usually host a party early in Dec and skipping that this year too!

Love it! Fall is my favorite season so I loved the decorations. For the bottom shelf on the entry way table, I would think maybe a basket or tray you can store things you don't want visible, like keys or gloves, and then you can slide it out like a drawer? Maybe a coffee table book too?

Entry table: the right hand decorations need one more thing so it's in 3s. The bottom shelf should stay empty until you find something perfect, or if you have some books. The brass bowls remind me of my mother's collection she had from living in India.

I think it’s just fine as is, and I usually use the rule of 3. In this case, the mirror makes it feel balanced enough. Plus, the table is pretty small.

For your door on Amazon they have a magnetic hook that is double sided that works beautifully. I don’t know how to explain it but it comes in two pieces so you put a piece on each side of the glass door but the magnet is so strong it will not move and then you never have to worry about it falling. I think they are like $10 or less and they come in different finishes. I live in the south and command hooks don’t work for us with the big temperature swings.

I think for the bottom shelf of your entry way, styling beautiful bound books would be pretty! And another tip I’ve heard from designers is to style in groups of 3 with differing heights, also a small table lamp would be pretty in the corner next to the unfinished wall. 😊 The table is beautiful.

I really like your design esthetic ❤ the lion head towel holder is so classic and beautiful but original and quirky. Also that linen closet is just perfect. Second shelf I’d say some books even antique ones or for the kids to grab and enjoy. I’d roll a festive blanket and have there for easy grabbing. Maybe a decor seasonal tray for keys and a basket underneath for fall/winter beanies, scarfs, gloves etc…

As a native southern Oregonian, I feel you on the smoke. Unfortunately, it’s our reality every summer now. We even had a few days where our air quality was over 400… beyond hazardous! Nothing to do but stay inside and run the air purifier 24/7. Just got some rain though!!!

Natalie, the entry table is very pretty but it might be a tad too long for that space because it covers up the door molding. You can still use it somewhere else in the room, but I would keep an eye out for something a little bit shorter. You could put your Bibles on the lower shelf so they are easy to take with you to Church on Sunday mornings.🤗
