I love how your fall videos aren't just the expected: "here's a new cup and scarecrow" but legitimate, necessary physical and emotional preparedness for a new season. It's such useful content! I love feeling prepared for anything. We have also never washed our windows since moving in over a year ago but that's because they're original to this 1950's house and they're a pain to clean thoroughly #backtofall our raspberry stalks (fave fruit) only produced one raspberry this year 😆 It's been such a bad drought here and we have been trying to keep up with our other plants (first-time gardeners!) with the hose. I'm 7 months pregnant; so I'm trying to have grace for myself and the harvesting we have not done, plants we have let go to flower or have not processed how we wanted. It's really special to prepare for fall and baby at the same time nevertheless.

I'm binge watching your videos and came across this one. I live in the woods as well and let me tell you, the first few years the squirrells and chipmunks stayed away from our garden, but in the last few years, they eat everything. I gave up on my strawberry patch because chipmuks will eat the green fruit. The squirrels destroy the sunflower heads, they just jump on the plant and break the stalks, its crazy. So, enjoy it while you can. But once they discover your garden goodies, its a war zone. 🙂

The #BACKTOFALL time is just my absolute favourite. Favourite fruit of veggie is very tricky! We love to grow our own and this time of year the garden just come into its own! We are eagerly awaiting apples for apple pies, pumpkins for pumpkin bread, tomatoes for delicious tomato soup. Yesterday we harvested blackberries that are ripening early here and made muffins as well as freezing several bags of plums. It's this home baker's dream season and I'm ready to relish every delicious moment. Just love the direction of the channel over the past year and the #BACKTOFALL videos Natalie, keep them coming.

This is our third year with a garden. Each year we have learned something new. In fact, we have learned many new things. One of the most important things I’ve learned, is that no matter how “right“ I do things, there are still many things that affect the garden that are outside of my control. We are dependent on things lining up that we have no control over so for anyone to have a perfect, no issues whatsoever garden, would be miraculous! I loved the Andrew Word music so beautiful! Loved seeing the kids playing on the dirt pile. Hailey in her dress sliding down the pile was perfect! 💛

For your pumpkins: My mom once told me that there are male and female plants and only the female (i think) plants do actually carry pumpkins, the male ones just bloom. Maybe you could do some research on this? Love your videos! :)

I had this problems and read lack of calcium and maturity were issues. I added calcium and fertilizer and it helped

💛 I love this. I love how you tie your home journey back to God’s faithfulness and provision. Where closed doors meant He had something better. I’m not yet a mom, but if God gave my husband and I children someday I pray to be a mom like you who so intentionally and tenderly loves and cares for her family, all while pointing them back to Jesus. I can’t wait until heaven to meet you all in person! Praying for you and your family!

We're just getting settled into our forever home here in Kentucky! We're finishing the painting of the last three rooms by mid September and be ready to tie up the house for our 1 st winter. Last year I looked at the future and thought why are these things happening, when will things turn around for my family, and today where I’m sitting in my home with a garden in our back yard (a dream my husband had) I think man God knew. God knew we had to walk the steps we walked to get to today. I appreciate your videos, your honesty, and your faith! We are still hitting the 90s this week. I am so over it! Just give me 70F and call it a summer. I feel a change in me, for fall. I am starting to gain new interest and motivation to revamp our seasonal table, more activities for our toddler, starting to get excited about pumpkin-season, apple picking, falling leaves, foraging nuts. And my favorite fall-thing of all!! Walking outside in a sweater! (And maybe a scarf.) Cool enough for a cozy sweater yet not so cool/windy you need jacket. Those lovely crispy, sunny fall days. I live for those.

Love the back to fall series! I'm a summer person all the way and dread the fall because it means winter is right around the corner. You make it so much more enjoyable and bearable! Don't fret about the garden. Last year my pumpkin plants only produced male flowers for the longest time. Peas are best as spring and fall plants (the heat does kill them). You are learning and growing but look so happy 😊
